Pros. Helpful front desk, and housekeeping kept our room spotless. The robes in our room were a nice touch.
Pros. Christmas decor was gorgeous and there were Christmas cookies and hot cider offered on entering. The whole lobby smelled of cinnamon which I found charming. Bathrooms offered an extensive number of amenities and bottled water and robes. We mostly enjoyed the restaurant as well. Location was great, could walk to the Salem walking tour and many historic attractions.
Cons. Check in was very slow and an elevator was broken giving off a constant beeping. My sirloin was undercooked, even after sending it back twice and it took minutes and my announcing myself to be seated for breakfast even though there was only one other customer. But most disappointing was the way my young adult son was questioned when he came back into the hotel in the morning after making a trip to the car. He was making a cup of coffee and front desk staff approached him accusingly, asking him to verify his room number to assure he was indeed a guest. He was shocked and offended.
Pros. Ease of access to major routes near Boston, very clean, good food at Regatta pub
Cons. None
Pros. My daughter and I stayed here the night before a swimeet close by. It was clean, the restaurants folks were very helpful and had good food and it was a reasonable value. This was in the winter, so we didn't walk around at all outside.
