Pros. Right next to all the tourist attractions.
Cons. Extremely pricey (200$/night) for a very poor quality, old hotel.
Pros. Reasonably priced. Walking distance to everything in Salem. Room was always clean. I definitely would recommend.
Pros. The staff was wonderful
Cons. The bathroom was too drafty
Pros. Quaint 1920s hotel remodeled decently. Nice ambiance. There's a letter drop at the elevator, two good restaurants in the lobby, and the staff are very helpful.
Cons. You cannot control the temperature in your room. The heat as a central system either on or off. Consequently, my room with broiling when I got there and had to open the window even though it was 10° outside. I have no idea how it is in the summertime. There are no refrigerators microwaves or anything like that easily available. The water that comes out of the faucet tastes funny and has a lot of sediment so the hotel gives you a bottle of water every day. I had to buy my own water though because that is not enough.
