They didn’t have any cars to give us, and their “system was down”. The only redeeming thing was that the location refunded me several days later after I called to cancel. But even that wasn’t a sure thing for several days.

The Payless location is small (being remodeled so messy) and not too attractive. They will require you to show proper insurance coverage (both collision/damage and 3rd party accident "SLI" coverage) which I had and brought proof from my policy, or they will pressure you into taking their insurance (which can be quite expensive). Overall the process of getting a car was fairly quick and efficient, and early morning return was also fairly quick, although we had to wait about 20 minutes for the airport shuttle to arrive.

The pickup experience was completely out of control, Apparently multiple workers had called out that day, but there were basically only two people working the counter, then three when the manager joined. I stood in line longer than it took for me to fly from NYC to Detroit. Then they sent me to an empty parking spot because they had lost control of where their stock was or wasn't. I ended up with a very different class of vehicle, and one that used significantly more gas than I expected to use. Check in was better, but the handheld system kept disconnecting from their wifi or satellite link, so again, a little delay. The staff, on the other hand, was always nice, pleasant, hard working and attendant; they just didn't have what they needed to offer an acceptable level of service.

THE LINE WAS over 50 people long and there was one attendant working the desk. I cancelled the car but it required 45 min on the phone to get it cancelled. The line would have taken 2-3 hours from what I could discern.

The car was not fully charged on pick up and we had to stop to charge and as a result a2.5 hour journey took us 5.5hours. My heavily pregnant wife was very stressed. There were no charger points available nor working when we stopped to charge. We then made it with 8miles left on the battery to the next charging station. We picked up my daughter 2hours late and that created further problems for the family looking after my daughter. They missed their connection to Ireland. The 155miles return journey to Gatwick we only just made again with less than 20miles left on the battery. We were assured the car would travel 255miles on a full charge. But it didnt ! All in all we had an awful experience and a very stressful journey, concerned all the way for my heavily pregnant wife. The girl at budget/Avis desk was Polish and her english language was very poor. I do need a car again Monday 4th for 1day hire again from Gatwick to take my daughter back to school and will use your search engine, but would be extremely concerned if we ended up with a hire from Budget again.

I love giving places the benefit of the doubt. I had a two hour wait for my car bc y out guys messed up scheduling for your staff. The staff was great- this is a company problem. Lovely people at the desk- poor management by budget. If picking up a car takes longer than the flight then there’s a serious problem with your company. This is not the first time I’ve had this experience with you. However, I was willing to leave this alone and deal with the situation. Then I turned in my car and got a bill for 70 more for a 45 minute over charge. You guys were two hours late giving us cars and have the audacity to try to charge 70 for 45 minutes? Which I turned the car in within the time alotted and there was no one who suggested it wasn’t there on time. I’m not sure when they got it checked in after I left it. But it is there. Also it’s cleaner than when I got it. The main reason I’m not going to write you an official negative review is that you had an amazing customer service rep who fixed the problem on the phone. You are so lucky to have some great staff that keeps covering for your companies mistakes. The people deserve a raise for dealing with the lack of structure, billing issues, work force issues, and overall unconcern the company has for the time it wastes of its customers. Your staff is saving you.

Sixt gave us a car with an extremely loud engine, something off with transmission. They car had multiple dings which they tried to pass off as from us (but my mom took her own photos at the beginning). They also tried to tack on over $500 in additional coverages that I had already declined and tried to force my family to add them despite having coverage in place, and they added everything wrong and over charged us. Still working on a final resolution and worried about having the authorizations released. They claimed we lost the manual and registration which were in the car as well. I checked before I got out.

This was a super easy rental car experience. From booking, to payment, to picking up the car, to dropping it off -- everything was smooth and efficient. Communications with the Sixt representatives at Koh Samui airport was very helpful. The car was clean and came without issue. I would definitely rent with Sixt again!

When we got to Salt Lake City to pick up the rental car that we had reserved, they did not have a vehicle to accommodate the amount of passengers as the rental car that we reserved. When we asked if they could accommodate us with two cards instead of one, the woman said no and walked away.

I was upsold liability insurance which he said I needed to rent his car. I have in the past signed a waiver to use my own insurance liability. TOTAL SCAM, I ended up paying $200 more then I had previously booked and agreed upon. Something should be done, Total SCAM!!!!!!

Information on how there car service rental work. I was visiting another state the rental was for me to return with having to fly back. I was told by a rep I needed a return ticket which was confusing.

Clerk was helpful until I noticed a mistake in the booking and then she said she had no way to correct it.

Cons:

I had booked a one way car rental for La Guardia with a Drop off at Logan airport. When I called to ask if I could pick up the car a day earlier the customer service rep, said "yes" and also that I would save $25 . When I got there the clerk told me that the reservation said I was returning it to LaGuardia. I said that wasn't what I had told the clerk and she refused to honor the lower rate and if that wasn't enough she would't even give me the original price but said now I'd have to pay $80 more than my original reservation. I walked out and got another car from Thrifty. They made the mistake and they should have honored the price quoted. At least the original price, so I. don't think I will book with Enterprise again.

The whole process was smooth, especially once I got to the rental counter. I waited for almost 30 min for a shuttle along with many other people as shuttles from other rental agencies passed by multiple times. The driver was very patient and professional even though a few customers mistreated him because they were upset about the wait time. I thought he handled it extremely well. So I would recommend making sure there are always plenty of shuttles.

The shuttle from rental place to terminal took over 40 mins from return time to finally having a bus to take us to terminal. About 4 folks including myself missed out flights. The terminal is only 1 mile away. It was lunch time, I guess it was more important to have lunch than take care of the 20 folks waiting on the shuttle to terminal

I rented a mis size SUV to hold 5 people and linens for a week. They gave me a Trailblazer and tried to tell me that it was the mid size SUV when in fact, that would be a small SUV. Three kids had to sit with knees in their chest. So, I had a reservation for the end of August to take my daughter back to school. Can’t risk them saying it’s a midsize, and unlimited miles means you can’t drive to Ohio or you pay a $50 per day fine. So not worth it. I cancelled and paid the extra $20 for unlimited miles elsewhere. I’ll come out better in the long run. Stay Away.

Pros:

I had to call both Lynchburg and Queens National locations prior to pickup, and though my issue was not able to be resolved ahead of time, Cody in Lynchburg and Elena in Queens were extremely courteous and helpful. At the time of pickup, the counter staff was helpful and my pickup was smooth. The gate associate was personable and helpful as well.

The staff at the National pickup in Queens gave us the wrong information about adding another person. They insisted that my travel partner was not covered on the insurance and were very dismissive and unhelpful about how we could resolve the issue. Upon going to another National car service location at Newark airport (far out of our way to our travel destination) we finally received some helpful advice from the clerk there. I was very upset that the National Car service location in queens was not more informed on the issue and helpful. It seemed like they just wanted to clock out and didn't care about nay type of customer service. I WILL NOT be renting from National again

Absolutely terrible experience and will never use Turo. Apparently the car we had arranged months before was smashed two weeks before we we due to pick it up. Trouble is, no one told us until we were on the Eurostar on the way to get it. They had had our money for ages. Seems like the owner, Luke, was trying to get Turo to make up the difference and hire us his more expensive alternative (a Porsche, which I wouldn’t want anyway). Turo “help” line was totally unhelpful. Couldn’t end the deal; couldn’t refund without us getting on to another department (hard on a foreign phone). They can’t call you…. So it was impossible to organise an alternative. If there is a problem with a car hire company, they just replace it. Turo was more expensive and unable to fix a problem. Never again.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

No option for the vehicle. Vehicle delivered with only 3/8 of gas. The rear safety belt buckle are missing. I need to remove the back seat to put my baby car seat and for my mother safety belt. After take the highway the vehicle with more than 70k miles vibrate at 50mph. I call for a car change and they don't have alternative for me. Today eight days later the deposit of my $200 continue in hold and the recepcionist told me she only made appointments and i need to made a claiim via email for the refund. Poor customer service.

I was not able to get the car due to misleading information from your site. I was told that that wrack a rent was located at MCO airport. It was off site. Upon arrival ,I was told that toll payment information was given to me upon renting. That was not so. From the start our reservation seemed off as I had been careful to select rental companies that were in the terminal at MCO but then after I booked I got an email that notified me this would require a 10min shuttle ride. I went along with it anyway. Then we get to the rental site and it's not even a Wrent A Wreck, they are actually called APM Car Rental. This was another red flag. Since we'd already booked we proceeded though. We were then charged a ton of extra fees. We were supposed to pay another $50usd on arrival to complete our booking (we'd already paid the bulk at time of reservation). We ended up being charged another $319 usd to get a car! This isn't even the worst if it. After spending a long time in the office and spending much more money than we had planned, we finally left with our car. We then drove about 10 minutes down the road and the car broke down. We called back the rental and they were extremely rude but said they would send somebody. We waited almost 2 hours in Florida heat with an infant baby and the whole time they would say somebody was on their way every time we called. That was obviously not the case since their office was not even 10 minutes away. When they finally came they had to jump the battery because it was dead even though they had been claiming we had done something to the car, they clearly gave us a car with a bad battery and finally replaced it with another car of the exact same model. Over the course of the few days that we had this car it broke down again and we had to jump the battery because they would not come help us or replace the car. The tire also blew out shortly after they gave it to us which we also had to change ourselves because they would not help even though they gave us a bad car. The rental company admitted that they had not inspected the second car they gave us since they were in a hurry to replace the first. If that is the case we should not be held responsible for the issues that were existing with the second car, but we were. Overall a terrible rental experience and we barely drove the car for the remainder of our trip because it was so unreliable and we had to rely on family members to give us rides. The company was very rude and refused to give us a credit for these issues. After we returned the car we thought that our issues with this company were behind us, we were wrong. In the week that followed, we were charged extra fees instead of getting credits back. First we were charged an additional fee a few days after drop off of car, then that fee expanded into a larger amount that we found on our credit card bill with no notification or explanation from the rental company. We have since been chasing them for answers and to try and get our money back with no response. We have now spent more on this car rental than our plane tickets! We have now been charged 5 times what we booked. This company is truly terrible, they trick people into thinking they are Rent A Wreck but actually they are another company completely and they offer terrible service and many extra charges. I have never had such a bad travel or customer service experience in my life.

You book online, it says total final price but in fact you pay 3x more at the office. The car breaks in the middle of journey (after first week) and you wait for car replacement for 6 hours (with inside baby in the car) while they keep of lying to you that they arrive in 2 hours.
