Pros. The location in the quarter is great. It’s just enough away to be quiet. We always felt safe and loved having the refrigerator
Cons. Nothing
Pros. The location was my initial reason for choosing this hotel. The staff was great and eager to help. The general service of the hotel staff was excellent throughout the stay. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons. The only complaint was that the pillows were too soft. They did not provide much support. I would recommend bringing a pillow from home that you prefer. This is not necessarily a bad thing as the hotel goes, just a recommendation for future guests.
Pros. We loved the comfort. The bed and pillows were super soft and cozy. The location was perfect too! Ideal for those who want to enjoy Bourbon Street while only being 2 short blocks away, yet perfect to proximity of Cafe Dumonde, great restaurants, and a small escape from the noise too. The hotel offers an antique feel from the age, layout, and design that best describes the history of the area.
Cons. The hotel was a little difficult to initially find. The room and especially the bathroom was very small. The room has no view whatsoever. Needed better soundproofing, as we were very surprised by how loud the street cleaners and planes above were so loud.
Pros. If you are looking for a place to stay in the French Quarter, close to the action but not in the midst, this is it. Hotel Provincial is everything you'd expect with a boutique hotel. Rooms were small but adequate. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom space is generous. One of the best features is the middle courtyard. Kind of acts like and outdoor lobby. Enjoyed sitting there early in the AM before heading out for fun. Hotel convenient to Jackson Square, Royal/Bourbon street action yet far enough off track so you don't have to "live" with the distraction. Most of the staff was friendly and very helpful
Cons. A few staff members need to go back to customer relations 101, but thrat is hardly a reflection of the staff overall
Pros. My absolute favorite thing was the real shuddered Windows, floor to ceiling that actually opened up to the French quarter. Like you could hang out the window and watch the groups go by on the haunted New Orleans tours. The fact that they stopped in front of my hotel was only slightly nerve racking
Cons. The room smelled a little like mold and my ears and throat itched all night. Also, the toilet seat was loose and threatened to throw you on the floor everyone you sat on it.
Pros. Staff is wonderful. Courtyards are perfect and the location is great! Would definitely stay here again.
Pros. location price
Cons. furnishings, maintenance level
Pros. Pool, beds, doorman and location
Cons. Desk staff and the lose of free breakfast

What are some common concerns about Hotel Provincial?
The room has no double glazing so you can hear every sound from the street outside. Very difficult to sleep with so much noise. You will be woken daily by very loud garbage truck at 7.30am. Management really needs to invest in sound proofing. Also amenities in room were quite poor. One tiny shampoo and one tiny soap for your entire stay. Overall hotel felt a bit dated and tired and not value for money.
