Perfect location to stay in Hilo. The entire staff are very accommodating and professional. Housekeeping is excellent. Thank you!
Pros. Home style feeling and the staff was filled with aloha.
Cons. We always enjoy our stay at the seaside
Pros. The friendliest and nicest staff ever
Cons. I have traveled and stayed at hundreds of hotels and have never encountered such nice people. The place is older but is spotless and comfortable I would recommend this place to anyone going to Hilo Loved it
Pros. What a wonderful experience! The hotel is not fancy but loaded with atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable and staff are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. We borrowed bicycles and road over to downtown Hilo on a Sunday morning. We walked to our boat tour embarkation in the afternoon. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was ample and delicious. The whole place was clean and well-cared for. It’s clear that the owners and employees take pride in the building and grounds and want to share it with their guests. I’ll definitely come back.
Pros. Loved the people who work there, best group ive ever seen. Amazing staff, really care, soooo noticable.
Cons. So minamal on problems, if any problems, just my view, cause sure they would listen if i noticed something.
Pros. Economical, friendly and helpful staff, close to garden and Coconut Island.
Cons. Windows are unsealed glass vents so there will be various common bugs that share your room, including small roaches. Nothing compared to a cabin in the woods, but those with bug phobia may be concerned.
Pros. Clean. Great breakfast, not just continental breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice laundry. Convenient to everything. Close to airport. Very Affordable. We will refer everyone to this Hotel.
Pros. The location next to the airport was nice. It is within a reasonable walk to downtown Hilo.
Cons. The hotel feels old and could use some renovation. It was also very hard to find our room. Breakfast doesn't start until 7am, so we missed it due to an 8am flight.
Pros. The hotel brags of.being part.of.the only Hawaiian owned hotel group. It has some pretty courtyards and the pool is ok. The attached restaurant is convenient and the rooms are affordable. They have laundry facilities onsite which we liked because we travelled with carry on only for a ten day trip. Also, it is located on Banyan drive, where the walk is amazing. After walking that road, we decided we had the right hotel if we were staying on that strip. The others were a bit intimidating to walk by, we thought.
Cons. The rooms themselves are a bit run down. Clean, bit run down. The desk staff were not particularly friendly. Children playing in the pool were using tiles they found from the pool wall for diving and the poolcould be cleaner around the rim. Some of the rooms feel like you are in a cave. We were happier when we moved to the second floor.
Pros. Location of the hotel and its surroundings is beautiful. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
Cons. Room that we got was not one of the best. On one side there is a road/highway and other side there is pool. Constant noise from both sides. Room electrical needs improvement. One switch turns on bathroom and other lights which can be disturbing for other persons in the room. These are minor things.
