Pros. Royal Sands was very diligent with cleaning even while at the pool we will constantly see them cleaning chairs if someone left. They always asked us to use hand sanitizer before doing any thing. All staff wore masks at all times. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were well kept. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The thing we loved the most was the ability to go to the other Royal chain resorts as part of our all inclusive and we were able to try many restaurants at those resorts. Their shuttle service made it very easy to travel from one Royal location to another. As a vegetarian there were multiple food options that tasted pretty good. The buffet was the best option. They had a lot of fun activities to do on the property that kept you entertained the whole time including poker, blackjack, bingo, dancing, themed restaurant nights, massages under stars, and pool volleyball.
Cons. The room service could be very slow at times. Restaurants ran out of prime food items way too early. The beach had a lot of Sea weed due to strong waves which didn’t make for the most ideal situation. It was hard to keep track of what activities were happening where. An opt-in daily e-newsletter summarizing all the daily activities and events can be helpful. It was hard to find open beach chairs especially with umbrellas.
Pros. All the hotel services were pretty good! Nice food! Nice restaurants! Nice drinks! Perfect beach! Safety! Good location! Perfect all inclusive, with a lot of other good restaurants out of the hotel also included! Good rooms! Good attention for the customers!
Cons. The room service has to be improved! Even if you want just some bottles of water you will probably wait more than 45 minutes! They probably have just one person to deliver the orders on this huge hotel. At the first late night after arriving, with all the restaurants closed, i ordered some food and they spent more than 2 hours 30 mins to tell me that my order was already delivered when it was not! Had to talk to the manager for eating some!
Pros. There is a choice of 3 restaurants in Cancun that can be booked for dinner. They are ok, one of them very good.
Cons. Buffet food is uneatable. Besides the taste, my boyfriend got a food poisoning after the second meal.
Pros. Pools Beach Service Beachfront Cabanas Staff was super polite and helpful Food was really good
Cons. I'm 29, my lady is 27, and we were probably the youngest people at the resort by 20 years. Older folks were nice, but would have liked more of a mix.
