Not robbing people on prices on everything at hotel . 40 $ for fish and chips . 40$ per night parking i was not told about . $15 dollars for a starbucks coffee thats $4 at any liquor store . And a hundred other things like that .
I loved the view in front of the hotel. It was very pleasant to walk outside in the morning.
Cons. Facility is under construction and the lobby and walkways to adjacent buildings with guest rooms is a mess. Charging $30 a night to park there is a joke....there is street parking just off property for free! The road adjacent to the property, while not the hotel's responsibility, is pot-holed and probably in the worst condition of any road I've driven in Northern CA.
Pros. Paid for a Premium King room with a balcony and got one that shared a wall with a noisy old elevator. Asked for a room change, got put in another one next to... an elevator! Didn’t exactly appreciate their sense of humor with that. Then they said they only had a room of that type next to an elevator, so I had a choice to make— be able to sleep at night, or settle for a regular room with two beds on the first floor. Yeah my romantic getaway was pretty much ruined at that point. Oh and there is also a surprise $26/day to park there. At least they comped that for my troubles.
Cons. Being able to sleep in the premium room I paid for and not have my weekend ruined would be a good start.
Pros. Water view
Cons. Restaurant
Cons. The walls are so thin to the point you can literally hear the next door having a quiet conversation. The room was not ready even by four which is the official check-in time and they had to change our room to different type by downgrading. The front desk person that was helping me did not really “help” me and was extremely rude. She did not smile a single time and was giving attitude toward all the customer she dealt with. The room itself was very dirty. The bathroom had hairs from customers before us and it was not cleaned properly. Everything was rusty and dusty. And on top of that, I was not able to sleep well at all because of dogs barking sounds, babies crying next door, kids yelling, etc. My whole experience with doubletree at this location was very disappointing. I would never recommend this place to other people and I would never go back to stay. The purpose of me paying extra money for Hilton- doubletree is to have a decent-luxury hotel, but such a waste of money. So stressful and disappointing experience.
Pros. clean although not the most soundproof place.
Cons. Vending machine wasn't filled with all drink selections. Parking should've been inclusive with the room. What was this tourist fee i got on my bill? i'm not a tourist unless that cookie i involuntarily received was the markup. Coffee maker instructions weren't as clear as it could've been.
Pros. Views, comfortable bed, spacious room, friendly staff
Cons. Elevator could have been cleaner
Pros. The location was beautiful
Cons. Restaurant and bar staff were extremely rude. Warning if waiter offers coffe and orange juice to be filled in the cups on the tables it's $5 each glass. our bed sheets were dirty and had black crumbs inside when opened it. There were also hookers roaming around at night.
Pros. Upon first entrance, the rooms were very clean...although the hotel, windows and doors were disgustingly dirty. Staff at check in were amazing.
Cons. Bed was super uncomfortable...pillows were flat and lumpy. The walls were super thin, so you could hear everything. Terrible.
