They gave us a car and was hurried to leave, without checking to make everything right. We had some issues after we got to another city. They told us we can use our coupon when we drop off, but when we dropped off another people said we can't. They said they will figure out for us, but it's been a week our account is still locked and the one promised he will figure out the next day is out. They don't seem to be helping at all

I liked the car and the location was very convenient.

Cons:

Very slow pick up and drop off process. Not enough employees or they were just too busy. Lines of people inside and out the door waiting for help. No clear process to pick up or who is next. It was just very unorganized.

Cons:

My initial rental was not ready on time and I was not given a discount or compensated then my rental was delayed until the next day and I was charged the same amount and the car was had to be downgraded to a five passenger suv instead of a seven. It was devastating because it was my birthday weekend and it messed up my plans.

I thought pick up was speedy and the plus was I was able to get a free up grade to an automatic. I had pre purchased car insurance through what I thought was Kayak like the car rental, but Alamo wouldn’t accept the coverage and had to repurchase car insurance at the airport. My car did have a low tire pressure light come on a few hours after renting. It appeared fine to the eye and since we were staying local, we didn’t return the car to Alamo.

The Alamo service was great. The car was horrible. I had to drive it for 4 hours to get to my destination and it was so uncomfortable. the worse are I have ever driven.

Car class reserved not available. Wait estimated at 1h. Class above immediately available but was asked to pay an upgrade! Took a lower class (no refund there...). Was informed that any breakdown would cost me 290$ for intervention, after I mentioned I was using my credit card insurance. And funnigly, the car I was given had a permanent hand brake alarm problem despite hand brake unlocked. this at pick up, but i didn't have time anymore to exchange. Gd thing I did only a small number of km.... Not a good experience this time. thks best Sylvain

I didn't like national due the over charge was out rageous, getting charged 80 cents kilometers when it'd suppose to be 33 cents kilometers. They were charging 3000 kilometers when it's 23650 n charging 2000 in kilometers charges when he said I was out of province, they gave me a Alberta license plate car n now they want to charge me, the attitude from the man was very rude,problems with car and said couldnt do anything, I need to be treated like criminal, when it's criminal the way they try and scam you. I will never rent from another rental car company again especially your company, I don't give you any stars and a poor review. Worst company.. the way he ordered me to pay and the way he talked to me in public, he said I don't need to talk to him like that when he kept refusing to give the mangers number and argued with me n when people were staring he said I don't need to be treated this and talked in his language and got angry gave me the number after 20 min, I walked 2 hours home passed off with the treatment and then the guy took the car out and literally stepped on the pedal went more then speed limit on the airport road, he was mad with ne cause I refuse to pay 3000 dollars for double the amount to what was told.. never rent a car in fort st john they will rob you blind...

They tried to rip me off! didn't provide me with a damage for the existent damage and the employee said will provide it latter but I took pictures before I use the vehicle. Now they are saying the car never been damaged and I have to be charged for the old damages as according to their system the car never been damaged and the vehicle year is 2021! I disputed it and sent my proves but it is very poor management and it is stress and anxiety no needs for me to go through I put down a cheaper options to be with reputable company but National/Enterprise prove me wrong.

The experience started badly, but then was corrected by a manager named Edgar. He was very gracious and professional. He quickly corrected the problem. As per their staff in general, many of them were rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. I will honestly say that specific manager named Edgar (Edgardo) is the best asset Sixt has.

Jose was super kind to me when I arrived. I was flying in for a funeral and he had nothing but kind words for me and helped me tremendously when my booking was not ready due to cleaning. He knew I needed to get on the road to be with family and did everything to accommodate me. I will definitely use Sixt again based on customer service alone. Thanks!

While Kayak states that changes can be made for free, Sixt does not honor that and wanted to charge $250 for a date change. Also, when we arrived at Sixt in Lihue Chrissy, the Sixt representative, said that they had to redo the rental charge because the credit cards didn’t match which was not true. However, I went along with it. She assured me original charge would be refunded. When came time to pay it was $1,000 more. She said that the car I had reserved was unavailable and was attempting to rent me an Escalade. I stood my ground and somehow the car I had rented originally was there and the price I initially paid was charged. I confirmed with credit card account that she refunded and then recharged the same card. Very sneaky . Be aware.

Quoted $169.00. Showed up and they tried to rip me off for gas, tolls and especially insurance. After going through many hoops to show that I have adequate insurance coverage, I was asked to produce a declaration page. After spending 10 minutes on the phone with my insurance company, the agent just said “Do you have a car loan? Then you’re fine. You have adequate coverage” - It was a very poor experience. There should never be a quoted price and final price that are nearly double. I’ll never rent from them or recommend them.

Travel options to/from the offsite location is HORRIBLE. The shuttle buses run every 20 minutes and is a very small shuttle when it does arrive. Once at the rental location, the lines to speak with a rep is just as bad as the wait for the shuttle buses. This is a big inconvenience and would drive me back to paying the higher rental cost for convenience and speed. On a good note, my customer service rep was amazing! And the vehicle I receive is always nice and clean.

They refused to honor my reservation and claimed they had no cars but could make a special opportunity for me at $175 a day. As it was late at night I had to take their high price offer for one day but got them down $106 a day. We switched to Economy Rent-A-Car the next day at $84 for 4 days. Steer clear of Advantage. They are scammers and liars

It was the worst possible experience! The agent, who had no name tag, was very rude and unprofessional. He told me that since I was renting for just one day, I should have gone to Budget or Enterprise. He charged my account twice. He treated my husband and me as if we were trying to steal something. He said that I needed to show proof of residency, so I did, but it had my husband’s name on it. Therefore, I had to add my husband to the reservation, and then he charged me twice the amount that was agreed upon for adding my husband. The entire time, he kept saying, “it would be easier if I canceled your reservation and let you go.” And I left the store without the car!

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

NU over charged me and said they would fix it when i returned the car. I asked for a receipt and they wouldn't give me one, said it would be emailed but i never got it. They owe me $40.82. when i called, the phone rang and rang. There is no email address, no other way of contacting them.

It was really hard to find the shuttle driver and when we did it took us to a sketchy feeling part of town took us into a warehouse and had us talk with a representative with a very heavy accent over a computer screen. We were not told where to bring the car back - turns out we had to find the sketchy warehouse back and they could not take us back to our hotel even though it was closer than the airport.

There was a minor scratch at the bottom of the front bumper which is not visible unless you are on your knees. As far as I am concerned we didn’t do anything to cause it. It may be already there and we didn’t notice when we took the care at midnight. At any rate my gripe is with how they handled this situation. We bought most expensive coverage possible with them which is twice the rental price itself. But during checkout they stalled us because of this issue even though we told them that we are cutting too close to our departure time and requested them to call the insurance and get it reimbursed because we already bought the coverage. But they insisted on us calling them and we couldn’t because we didn’t have local mobile plan. After lot of back and forth they checked other contracts on the vehicle and probably figured out that the damage was already there and the let us off the hook. It was a happy ending but the whole drama could have been avoided if they had customer service at the forefront of their minds.

I actually cancelled my reservation after finding out that their hours of operation start at 8:00AM. That doesn’t work for returning a car when you have a 6:30 AM flight. Would have been fine if they operated 24 hours.

The experience at ACE Rent a car, Mississauga was extremely disappointing. Despite booking a car for a week, the receptionist was rude and unprofessional. Even after providing proof of insurance coverage, he refused to release the rental car and insisted on receiving personal information via email. This lack of customer service and trustworthiness makes ACE Rental the worst choice for car rentals. I strongly advise against renting from them and will not be recommending their services to anyone.

The member of the team was purposely using confusing language when it came to purchasing the *optional* insurance policy. I asked him numerous times if it was optional if I had car insurance and he refused to answer my question and kept telling me I needed to be covered under California insurance. The cost would have added another $200 and It felt very scammy. Fortunately, I stepped away to review my options and the manager was kind enough to inform that it was in fact optional if I could show proof of insurance.

We arrived late for our reservation because our flight was delayed several times. We walked in, gave the man my license and he almost immediately told me he didn’t have the car i reserved because I was late and they gave it away. He made no effort to accommodate a situation that was beyond my control and said there was nothing he could do. He then proceeded to make a phone call to his “friend” Sakura who said he would pick us up and rent us a car. The whole situation felt sketchy and unsafe and we walked down the street to SIXT, where we received excellent service. I have rented a car from this Ace location In the past and it was a good experience, but I will never rent from here again!!!

I loved the car loved the easy pick up and return of the rental car. The airport made it very self explanatory to get the car back with white letters on the road to direct you back to the rental car return. Made me smile. I had to extend my rental due to not finishing the work I came down for and the company made it very easy to extend.

The car was not available an hour after scheduled pick up and the line was too long for me to wait as I had movers waiting for me at my home. I asked the person at the front counter what I could do and they told me I would have to wait. No ETA or timeline offered. After I left, I checked back to see if it was available that afternoon-still no car available. Even an hour before my scheduled drop-off it said that the car was not yet available online. Worst experience working with a rental car company ever.

Hidden costs and no mention anywhere in t&c about excess being $5900 which meant we had to buy insurance with dollar (ours only covered $5k excess). Ended up costing more than 2x “total”.

I never got the car. I got to the rental car company and they said that you made the wrong booking because it was for foreigners only and ended up wanting to charge me 10 times the booked price. It was a really disappointing experience. It also ruined my trip as I couldn’t make it to my destination and there was no refund due to being same day. I was standing in the middle of copenhagen on Friday at 5 pm, with no car. Kayak proved to be a really bad experience.

The associate assisting me did not give me their insurance as I requested , he also did not do a thorough inspection of the car when I picked it up. This has now created a problem with scratches on the car they are attributing to me.

The representative at the car rental desk gave us wrong information. She told us that the price we paid at the counter included the price of the rental car. However, when I later reviewed the bill, I discovered that the price we paid at the counter was for an insurance package only, and that we were ALSO charged separately for the rental. This doubled the price, making it a disastrous purchase. I feel I was cheated into something I did not agree to.

I picked the wrong time based on incorrect recollection of when we were supposed to land, but it was required to wait until that time (two hours later) to pick up my rental. There was no previous walk around and I discovered a couple of rock strikes after I drove out of the facility. Fortunately they were rather small and there was no charge for them, but I was worried about it. Otherwise, the car I ended up with (Dodge Durango), which was not the one I reserved (Toyota Corolla), was quite satisfactory and even got respectable mileage (over 25 mpg). So I was pleased. There was a little difference in the ride, however, as the Durango is built on a truck chassis and it is a bit stiffer than a sedan.

Car was fine. Everything else was a challenge. Took waaaaay too long to get through their process. Killed half a day by the time we went to two different rental locations and got our car. Then my rental was shortened. Got the car finally at 4 pm but had to return by noon the following day. Never again!!!
