SeaTac was a mess first class check-in not clearly identified Temporary signage needed since only one door into Alaska check-in area directed you to coach baggage check.
We could not find a parking spot in the garage so we left airport to find a parking lot. We were late and afraid we would miss our flight. We were greeted at the new Alaska check in and I was really upset. She got two people to put us in wheelchairs and we flew through the airport and security. Then all the way to the N gate and on to the plane. Somehow they hadn’t taken off. These two individuals deserve a medal for getting us to our flight and onto the plane. It all started with the wonderful greeter at check in. I wish we’d gotten her name and the two who got us there.
When I made my transfer from my flight from Missoula to Seattle to Seattle to San Jose, the gate was at the opposite end of the airport, which I thought was inconvenient since there were so many gates for Alaska right where I landed that everything was good
Cabin was a bit cold. Didn’t seem like they turned up the heat until we were half way. All personnel were wonderful.
Really appreciate the water offered in addition to the beverage service.
On this flight, seemed like attendants just went up and down isle collecting garbage and recycling. I must have heard it 10 times, which was annoying. Serving a snack/beverage was appreciated. Collect rubbish twice, not 10 times, chanting up/down isle calling out "garbage....recycling......garbage.......recycling........." etc. All else was fine.
I described the issue I had with getting to the flight in my previous comments.
There was a engine problem, so we had to deboard and wait on a new plane but that just happens sometimes, and crew was very efficient and nice.
Cathay Pacific is an excellent, well-maintained airline. While I too would love to fly first, or business class, I did not. I actually had the dreaded middle seat in the middle row, and yet, since I am an inquisitive traveler, I introduced myself to my row mates and had nice chats with both until lights out. Pro tip: Bring a donut travel pillow no matter where your seat is! The flight was smooth, the restrooms clean and the staff courteous and efficient. I gave the comfort level a 4 because of the reasons listed above. The airline meals... let's face it ... it's airplane food but CP does a good job in making it as edible as possible.
I was not able to figure out how to get the entertainment. But the flight was smooth and quick.
I was in Business Class row 7 on a 787-9. Both times I didn't get my choice of food. Otherwise, excellent!
The check in and boarding was handled well. The crew were pleasant. Our seats did not recline which we didn't realize so impossible to sleep on the night flight. There was no complimentary food offered on our 6 hour flight from Honolulu to Vancouver except garlic pretzels and a cookie! We were expecting at least one meal which was very disappointing.
The mid flight snack could have been more substantial than tiny bag of pretzels.
Obviously not on time, but that is redundant at this point. A plane without any form of power outlet, entertainment or comfort is maybe acceptable on a discount airline, maybe. At Air Canada this appears to be a vision statement. Also, somehow gate checked luggage can also be (as of now) lost. I’ll end it here, as this does not deserve the time, nothing changes.
2 weeks before the flight we have got a pilot strike notice. Luckily it didn’t happen but we had to buy a travel insurance. It was wasted.
Both fights were delayed. Food could be better comparing to other international flights
Flight took off little late and landed back at YVR after an hour without informing a reason to the passengers. Also, second time also got late but an hour to take off. Therefore, I had to change my plans during due to delay in landing to SFO roughly about 6 to 7 hours.
Our flight AC 567 was delayed by almost 6 hrs due to mechanical falure
There was no entertainment and the meal that was included in my flight fee was not provided.
I found the personal kind and caring. The Problem was not enough people to serve the the customers. The flow was restricted the crowd frustrated by the wait times. Air Canada seems to hire good people but they need backup in order to provide the service we pay for.
