From my interactions with the Oakland airport staff through TSA through the gate agents to the flight crew on Hawaiian they were just so kind professional and helpful.. the only thing I would add would be the they need more help and TSA and on the Hawaiian airlines flight it would be so much nicer for them to play beautiful Hawaiian music on the way over there.. they didn't start playing it until right before we landed..
The app is very bugy, did not work well. Other than that it was ok.
The flight was delayed an hour and it was not disclosed to the passengers until it was time to board. There was no in-flight WiFI available and such poor communication overall. Unfortunate that I was going to miss my connecting flight with poor communication on alternatives.
Broke the wheels of my luggage. Should be more gentle with other peoples belongings. Very upset about needing a new suitcase before Christmas.
orgiginal scheduled flight ( 2.5 hours connection) was cancelled, was given option to rebook between a 1-hour connection or a next day flight. Missed connection flight, and decided to book last minute with an other airline.
Short flight. Delayed because of ??. Had a water served . Staff was nice.
Crew members were helpful and responsive. However, the toilet in the only main cabin bathroom didn’t work properly.
Upgrading my seat online was a breeze, boarding was easy, and we had such great tail winds that we ended up getting in 20 minutes earlier than planned.
Flight was delayed because overhead bin didn’t close. The most insanely stupid thing I’ve ever heard.
Interline connection was terrible. Boarding pass from American didn’t work even though it was valid. Gate agent not present to straighten out the mess until the next to the last boarding group was called.
No overhead space so all carryons were checked. No internet.
Multiple maintenance delays and the missed and rebooked connection changed gates at least 6 times including one which had us walking 20 minutes to another terminal and then back again. Seated our family of three in different middle seats throughout the plane and then there was an empty seat next to me. Very long travel day which I would have never agreed to if I knew the itinerary would be changed at 5 am, 2 hours before takeoff.
It was as expected for such a short flight. No complaints
It was nice being on a flight that had working wifi. The boarding was quick - why don’t all airlines have small boarding groups window to aisle? Makes so much sense!!! I was disappointed to be the first person stopped to have to gate check my carryon. Especially when there was plenty of overhead space at the back! But I get it…keeps it moving. Crew was nice.
The flight encountered a delay exceeding 4 hours. The food voucher issued was valued at $12, insufficient to cover our meal expenses. Consequently, I was unable to take my medication, leading to a drop in blood sugar levels and exacerbating my anxiety.
On time (actually a little early). Was a good and short flight!
Charlotte NC agents were great and ended up with decent seats after having to switch flights amidst Hurricane situation. CMH was a different story. Doors to flight closed 15 minutes before departure so we nearly were left behind. Flight crew were OK but nothing to brag about for sure
Not too impressed with them to be honest. They had forgotten my gf meal, despite the fact that the app had notified me that it was sorted. Apparently there is a ‘glitch’ in the system, according to one of the stewardesses, and has been for a while. Also the legroom in economy is way too small (and I’m a slight person) and are very uncomfortable. An extra Internal flight I booked via the app, had not even given me the option to order a meal, so was unaware of that and left without food on a 9 hr. flight !! Don’t think I’ll use AA again after this.
The flight was uneventful. What was a problem was I was delayed getting home one entire day because the flight from Sacramento was delayed. That made getting to my connecting flight impossible. I had to stay another night at the hotel and incur that expense as a result.
VERY disappointed at the agent checking in my luggage. I know that the weight limit is 23 kg, a little over 50 pounds (50.71 pounds). Yet the agent kept repeating "50 pounds". So I said, the limit is 23 kg, and she had the audacity to say 'no, it is 22 kg!" Imagine my surprise. Was she ignorant or was she poorly trained? Not sure. The boarding process was pretty good. The speakers were loud enough so I still could hear them despite inconsiderate passengers continuing to speak while the announcements were going on. During the flight, the teenage girl sitting behind me kept pressing her feet to the back of my chair. I turned around several times, yet she did not get the hint. I did not make a fuss since I sense I had a bad streak that night with AA, so I just did the best I can to lean forward and not let that bother me.
