Boarded over an hour late, no communication, the sign just changed, no attendant to answer questions - she disappeared forever (hiding). Small plane and couldn’t hear the overhead nor understand.
Paid for a window and was assigned to a middle seat with 2 very large people on each side of me. Flight was sold out and I feel I need to be refunded foe paying for a window seat and being put in a middle one..
I had a very unpleasant encounter with one man from customer service: he was extremely rude and miserable. And his condition was reflected on his decision to send me to the worst airport hotel and get an awful flight connection. My hotel shuttle had never arrived and I had to book another hotel. People served by other representatives got a much better treatment and deal.
Very mediocre greeting as we boarded, and the lead flight attendant accent was almost unrecognizable. He joked around a lot, while trying to give the safety demonstration, but did not succeed. My wife’s row was completely missed for beverages and the lead flight attendant didn’t even know that our row was Main cabin and able to have beverages at no charge. We are platinum, 2,000,000 miles on American Airlines and this was not a stellar crew.
We had a very pleasant flight with very comfortable seats and nice staff.
Two issues. The plane was old and dirty. The armrest looked like an old car that had the vinyl rubbed off. The Seats in these aircraft are about as hard and uncomfortable. I want to tour Italy for a month and I want to buy a one-way ticket to Thailand but I will not sit in the seats these planes have. It is seriously stupid how hard they are.
The flight left a bit late, but arrived close to time expected…With the flight being close to full the crew did well serving drinks to all in a very timely fashion. The flight was a pleasure…
We were offered flight credit to change our flight but for a flight leaving before ours. We went to rebooking and they told us with a Basic ticket they wouldn’t change it because changes aren’t permitted with that fare. Time consuming process - AA should not make that offer in the first place!
Check bag location is full of rude employees who are unwilling to assist with issues after talking to AA on the phone and relaying messages. The boarding was good. While on the flight it got really hot. Asked flight attendant if there’s a way to drop the temp and make it more comfortable as we are flying from DC to Miami so flying from cold to hot weather. No changes made. Stayed hot and uncomfortable on the plane. When asked again about the AC being down the flight attendant said no the WiFi was down but not the AC. I mentioned it was still hot. No changes.
There was a delay that affected all passengers with connecting flights.
Boarding was smooth and on time. Flight itself was smooth (aside from some turbulence) and no glitches. On the downside, Spirit's no-frills service was as expected (no food or drink, cramped seating, extra cost for carry-ons, etc.), the announcements were nearly incomprehensible, and the constant niggling offers of upgrades and other services for sale (wifi, sandwiches, etc.) is annoying. Overall, a pleasant and uneventful experience - definitely worth the price.
The worst ever. Late departure late arrival an hour to get the luggage. Never again Spirit. Old dirty plane that you can smell the engine exhaust inside the cabin at takeoff and arrival. My designated spot stinked like v omit and they don’t carry a disinfectant spray I was given a moist finger towel like I was eating with my hands. The guy behind me was coughing the whole fight no one had a mask to provide us close to him. The worst experience ever

Awful, 4 hour delay made us miss connecting flight and then told can’t get us on flight for 2 days. Still at airport and most uncomfortable seats I’ve ever sat in.
For a round trip ticket costing US$460 extra, I did not get priority boarding, hence people took my overhead luggage space, the steward almost threatened me when I told him to remove the suitcase that was there. Airport staff in USA and Colombia, are NOT flexible or helpful when you pay extra, and look away or walk away when you want a correction. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT: Ads say "wine and dine" when you pay extra, NOT AT ALL!!! you get ONE alcoholic drink, ONE soda, and as much popcorn and/or nuts as dinner on a long trip. MORE FALSE ADVERTISEMENT: out of 4 legs on my trip ONLY TWO had WiFi, and there is NO movies nor magazines on board, so why do you ask about entertainment? ... If it was not for the fact that you are the only choice for trips to many destinations from Newark Airport, I would never fly with you! ... How about a refund for the extra money paid to make my trip bearable, was, in some ways worse than if I had just flew coach! ... YOU ARE BANKRUPT, DO BETTER, EARN RESPECT AND TRUST
The ticket agent wouldn't check our bags, eventhough the flight was delayed and wouldn't board for another hour. The gate agents were only mildly better than the ticket agent. They also had a terrible attitude and work ethics.
we are al people and we go through stuff so my scale is only how i felt, I understand we are all humans, i would definitely ride with soirit again, people in orlando are very helpful which makes it all the better .
My flight was arbitrarily changed from 6:00 AM to 5:10 AM ... One less hour of sleep after Christmas Eve, NOT very thoughtful, Oh, and I could not get a refund!!! I paid extra for a front seat and WIFI, there's was NO WIFI (flight 993 Dec 25). Why do you call what you offer FOOD? Would you feed your kids this stuff when you are trapped inside a steel tube for Hours??? Will I get a refund?
My experience with Spirit airlines was terrible. We had a 5 hour delay going to Jamaica and about a 3.5 hour delay returning home with no explanation keep in mind there was already a 4 hour layover in addition to the delay on the return home . We should have arrived in Montego Bay at 1:30pm on 12/22/24 instead we did not get there until about 5 or 6pm our final destination was Negril which is about a 2 hour drive from the airport so we did not reach our hotel until after 8pm so we literally spun the entire day traveling. On 12/27/24 we headed back home. We had arrived in Fort Lauderdale around 4-4:30pm for our layover expecting to be fly from there a little after 9pm and get back to Philadelphia by 12:05am Saturday morning 12/28/24. Once at the airport we kept receiving emails every 15-30 minutes or so apologizing for a delay with the time pushed further and further back. We did not depart from Fort Lauderdale until 12:33am. I forgot to mention that I was traveling with my 5 year old son so if you have small children you already know how that went. The only compensation they gave was two 12 dollar meal vouchers one for my son and one for for myself that we were not able to use because by the time they sent them the places in the airport were mostly closed and we were finally boarding the plane. The staff were very unprofessional and were being rude when we asked them questions about why the time kept getting pushed back. This was my first and absolute last time traveling by way of Spirit airlines. I most absolutely will not ever travel Spirit again. By far the most terrible travel experience thus far.
