KAYAK’s top tips for finding a cheap flight from San Francisco to Beirut

  • Choose an airline with comfort amenities for your long-haul flight from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY). Apart from in-flight entertainment, Turkish Airlines will offer you headphones, earplugs, sleep masks, toothpaste, toothbrush, lip bum, socks, and a light blanket in an economy-class cabin. Upgrade to business class if you want headphones with noise-canceling capabilities.
  • When flying long distances like SFO-BEY, you want to avoid aircraft with low humidity levels as they can quickly cause dehydration. Qatar Airways aircraft models like the Airbus A350 make long-haul travel more comfortable because the cabin is designed to retail more moisture compared to other airplanes. Consequently, you will feel less tired when you arrive at BEY. Additionally, the air is cleaned every few minutes with hospital-grade HEPA filters.
  • Enjoy VIP treatment with a Lufthansa business class ticket. Since the airline stops at Frankfurt Airport (FRA), you will find staff waiting to receive you at Lufthansa Welcome Lounge, which is zoned for the ultimate comfort of travelers. The seating area has restaurant-style tables and chairs and fully catered buffets, while the working zone offers privacy stalls, charging sockets, and printers.
  • If you care about the planet, travel in new-generation planes with modern cabins and a low fuel consumption rate. Air France has many eco-friendly elements that draw praise, including sustainable menus like French cuisine. The World Travel Awards have ranked Air France as Europe's best airline for long-haul economy flights for three consecutive years.
  • If you plan to fly in the economy cabin but don't want to pay for the standard ticket, choose KLM's Flex ticket, which allows you to change or cancel your SFO-BEY flight without a fee. If you decide to upgrade your flight class, you only have to pay the fare difference; any cancellation does not result in a cancellation fee.

We are glinting with united , but over all very disappointed

It is a good airlines, very professional very good food. I wish they offered free luggage is the only thing.

I like how professional, fast and good the whole experience was.

Everything was great except food . It as okay not good not bad

Flight attendant served beverage to everyone during meal service and forgot about me. Had to call her several times until she realized it. Not a good service for a business class flight

This time, I traveled in the economy, and it was surprisingly better than the eco-premium (food, comfort, and crew were noticeably worse in premium!)

Edelweiss is now Nickle&dimming, not even a complimentary wine on the intercontinental flight. Sitting space is the smallest I have ever seen.

I have no complaints. The crew was attentive, pleasant and heloful

Flight was cancelled due to technical problems with the aircraft. It would be nice if SWISS would invest in new aircraft; that would for sure minimize the technical issues with (old) aircrafts.

Excellent Airline. Food, crew and comfort was perfect. Entertainment screens were old. Didn’t like them.

My experience with Qatar airway was very unsatisfactory. They lost my child’s stroller and I was told they found it and will send it to the hotel which was a lie. I had to go back to the airport baggage claim and pick up myself after trying to contact them many times!. There was a lack professional and communication. I am very disappointed in Qatar airway and will not be recommending them to friends and family nor will I be flying with them in the future.

Worst air experience in whole life . Boarding and checking was hassle as they did 3 times. Crew team was clueless about passengers need. Despite of passengers raising hand , they were resetting the program

The food is not good and also if you ask crew to bring something they say ok I will bring but you will never get it. Please they should listen good to passengers

No difference between US airline and Qatar. Both cramp as many people. The airline seems to change planes without notice choice is seating when making reservations online doesn’t match the plane a passenger is on. Especially paying extra. Nothing special No different than US carriers.

Did not like anything. Seats were crammed, leg space was minimal and food was terrible. This was the first time traveling overseas in American Airlines and was the worst experience ever. Have learned a lesson to never travel in American Airlines.

Delayed my flights and no communication. We end up spending 6 hrs in Doha. No food or any concern from the airline. Terrible

Check in desk people constrained by fear. Obvious typo on Uganda visa, even though approved, caused loss of flight. Something is definitely wrong with this system.

Between Air India and Qatar my luggage was lost for three days. I eventually found my own luggage location using the Apple Air Tag. Air India used a paper form to report my lost luggage. I could never get past getting past luggage personnel with my report number before they would hang up on me. Only after them specifically telling Air India at Chandigarh airport where my luggage was located which was right under their noses did they react. After three days I finally received my luggage. The Air India luggage folks didn’t seem proactive in finding the luggage’s rightful owner.

Besides the flight cancellation, everything else was prefect. Kudos to Malaysian Airlines.

Operated by American Airlines. Very chaotic and the crew was bit rough responding any enquiries. Restricted leg space.. Qatar would have been better

Professional & courteous cabin crew. Food was very good even in economy class

7 stars hospitality and an excellent service by the Turkish Airline entire team. Somehow, our membership numbers for mileage points were not indicated on our boarding passes issued at O’Hare Airport by the Turkish Airlines check in desk. During transit in Istanbul, I brought to attention of customer service Turkish Airlines. Please have our mileage points posted to our membership account from O’Hare Chicago to Lahore for both my wife Kaukab Shirazi Thank you

Terrible boarding experience, with an incomprehensible assignment of priorities. “Fast track” was the slowest. Poor system planning.

Terrible boarding process, no proper line maintained even for business class, crews are not very attentive, business class food quality / variety / quantity have gone down, everything has become cheap.

Check in was not available online. It was super long line to check in

I did not have a good experience from the first point of contact to the check in person to boarding and the comfort of the seats. I would not travel on Turkish again. I will let my family and friends know about my experience which was not a pleasant one.

Food quality and the overall service of the staff and significantly decreased. The flight was delayed at the Istanbul airport and the passengers were kept onboard for more than 3 hours. The staff didn’t kept the passengers informed and everyone was upset.

Cross Atlantic flight terrible aircraft TK10 on the way back : Old configuration tacky . The boarding in Istanbul at the gate fly TK686 was a mess unorganized , very rude ground staff . Overall never again

The food served was frozen salad and hummus. The hot meal was fine. Crew was doing bare minimum

I enjoy flying with Turkish Airlines and such good hospitality among the crew memebers

My flight was delayed d the gate was never updated inside the terminal. If I hadn’t checked my email I would have missed my flight. Also, I paid a total of $5100 for my flight to be. Business or first class. My final leg of my flight from Heathrow to Frankfurt was not to standard of what I expected or experienced in the previous legs of my trip.

I requested a wheelchair for they haven’t got it, they are old and don’t speech english

Good but entertainment system was not easy and very buggy

They gave us free up grade to a roomier seat.

The flight was cold, no enough blanket and the crew said that they can’t change it. I got very sick in the flight . Most of the kids were coughing.

Plane was delayed about an hour but nice crew and service

Smooth flight. Safe airline. Professional crew. Glitchy entertainment touch screen. So-so food. So-so seat padding.

It wasn't clear that there will be additional charge for checked in baggage. Very, very disappointed making me pay extra $75. Food was not tasty and not healthy. Lufthansa used to be good, not any more. Unfortunately has gone down big time and continues to go down.

This was not a UA flight. This was Lufthansa. Good experience overall

Okay, the flight was over an hour late leaving LAX! I barely made my connecting flight! Very stressful experience! Lufthansa 747 biz class needs a serious upgrade to its seating! The food was good, but the staff was mostly very cold but did a good job!
