there was an instance where a non speaking couple didnt know when to board. people cut in front of them and the crew didnt respond. it would be nice if there were translators available to assist when needed. i get that you want people on board as quickly as possible. sometimes, it's like herding cats. but do assist the people who dont understand the language.

Fly from LGA if possible. New airport is nice and the workers all seem to be much better than JFK. The whole experience was much better than any flight I’ve taken from JFK.

Consider one of the non-economy airlines (eg Delta, American) for a more comfortable flight and travel experience.

Leave early. JFK can be messy. I couldn’t find healthy food choices so eat before you arrive.

You don't have to be at the airport 3 hours in advance as crowds are minimal.

Landing in La Guardia or Newark (New Jersey) is more convenient for commuting to Manhattan.

Be prepared for some additional costs if you’re choosing to get special drinks or food.

AA have the best boarding and fast service. Leaving and landing in time. 😀

The crew was professional worked hard, from leaving on time to getting to San Diego safely and as quickly as possible. In these times of higher costs for everything I really appreciated that Alaska didn't charge for carryon bags, As with traveling with any airline please bring patience.

SFO is one of the most convenient and pleasant airports. When flying Alaska Air make sure to bring your food and a larger water bottle that usual (you get only two drink services (one small cup each) for a 6 hour flight.

Get to airport at le as t 3 hours early if you have a 6 am flight. With construction it is insane if you have to check in luggage and get thru tsa

I've flown with different airlines for this route and each airline is virtually the same. Flight time and snacks are the same. Only difference is departure terminal and gate.

LaGuaradia and JFK are both convenient for flying in and out of NYC.

I booked into JFK due to cost. However, I wouldn’t do it again due to all the construction in the area and the incredibly long B concourse for Delta. We were at the very last gate.

Spirit seems mean-spirited. No leg room, no free snack or drink, no monitor for entertainment, no free wifi, no free carry-on bag, no free seat selection, etc....

Try to avoid American Airlines at all cost but I’m hearing the other carriers aren’t much better these days.

Do not fly spirit if there are other alternatives within similar range of cost.

Spirit Airlines is a good and safe, no frills airline. It offers transport for a very cheap fare rate. This is perfect for travelers who can fit all their stuff in a personal sized bag of 18x14x8. Only 1 bag is allowed. If intending to bring a luggage, keep in mind that a prepaid checked in baggage of 40 pounds ($55-60 each way) is cheaper than a prepaid carry on, and it is cheapest when bought together with the fare ticket. Keep also in mind that seats do not recline, so if that is something you need to have especially on longer flights, Spirit airlines isn't for you. So if you just need a no frill, no baggage airfare that transports you from one point to another, Spirit is a reliable, safe and affordable airline to get.

I would avoid JFK airport. The customs and security team were very rude and unprofessional and dropped my tray on the floor, busy entertaining each other and made a line up of tired travellers wait when it was not necessary. I appreciate this may not be their ideal job but professionalism in their behavior helps travellers feel respected and have a better experience. Caring, kindness and considerate attention makes all the difference for everyone.

Bring an iPad with lots of shows downloaded. The terminal at jfk is nice and small, easy to go thru security. Palm Springs airport is amazing. You step out and feel like you’re on vacation.

If you have a child who is under two years old or older, make sure they have seat right next to you otherwise they will make you sit far from them

Make sure you know the baggage allowances for your ticket. Spirit strongly enforced baggage rules. Result is faster boarding times and more room in the overhead compartments

To buy food in advance and put in in the bags to account for plane delays. I also recommend to activate plane information updates on the phone.

Bring your own food for snacks because it’s crazy expensive at the airport and the airline doesn’t give that much food for such a long flight.

Don’t make the mistake I made and pay for a second checked bag. They will check your carry-on for free at the gate.

Book a month in advance or you’ll be paying rates that could get you to a foreign country.

Delta did a lot better assisting people with temporary disabilities. You could a learn a thing or four.

I am looking forward to JFK terminal 7 being torn down and replaced with a new modern terminal

I’ve flown primarily with Air Canada when I travel. I’ve never had any problems.

Everything was good at HPN. Needed a wheelchair and was accommodated with no problems!

Delta out of LGA was great...despite the comfort issue, I highly recommend them.

Southwest has been great -easy boarding. TSA pre check is very quick.

I really like having a tv even if I have my computer.

Eat and use the rest room before flight and try not to leave your seat at all.

Be patient, people will rush to line up for boarding and will not care what number they are, you’ll actually have to ask them so you can be in the proper order.

The airport food was limited and expensive. Best to bring a sandwich from outside…

Usually always travel Delta or JetBlue. Ease of airports is JFK for me.

Great airports at both location. Always like flying southwest. Best airline.

Bring own entertainment and backup batteries for devices

Upgrade if at all possible. Comfort is key.

JetBlue if the upgrade their equipment or better maintain the planes they choose to use.

Bring a book cuz your plane may not gave wifi or TV

Be very careful that you don’t misplace anything. If you have to go through TSA multiple times, be sure to retrieve ALL your things even if it means you have to hold up the line unfortunately. Otherwise, there will be zero help to retrieve your things afterwards even though there are so many cameras.
