  • New York is served by LaGuardia Airport (LGA), John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). You can board your flight to San Salvador at any of these airports, as they all serve flights to this capital city. When booking your flight to El Salvador International Airport (SAL), you should consider booking one that takes off at LGA. This is because LGA has the least passenger traffic among New York's airports. This means that at LGA, you'll encounter short lines at its security checkpoints, unlike at JFK and EWR.
  • On the date you're set to fly to SAL from JFK, EWR, or LGA, you should reach your airport of choice at least 2h before your flight. Reaching your preferred airport this early will ensure you go through its security checkpoints in time for your flight. It will also give you adequate time to check out your airport's point of interest.
  • At JFK, EWR, or LGA, you'll be able to easily breastfeed your baby while waiting for your flight to SAL. This is because all these New York airports feature nursing rooms. At JFK, the nursing rooms are near Gate 1 in Terminal 1, Gate C70 in Terminal 2, the West Rail Hall in Terminal 4, and Gate 14 in Terminal 8, while at EWR, they are found near Gate A10 in Terminal A, Gates B47 and 66 in Terminal B, and Gates C90, C104, and C123 in Terminal C. At LGA, the nursing rooms are near the Arrivals area in Terminal A, Gates C2 and D6 in Terminal B, and Gate 14 in Terminal C.
  • Before leaving SAL, you can catch your breath at Avianca Sala VIP. A paid-entry lounge, this fabulous establishment features comfortable seats, clean toilets, beverages, snacks, and hospitable staff. It is located near Gate 8, Airside.
  • In case you have a query once you land at SAL, you can visit the airport's information desk for assistance. The desk, manned by informed airport staff members, is in the Arrivals Hall, on the airport's landslide.

Had a crying baby and a toddler behind me so it was difficult to get comfortable. Searing was tight even for a relatively small person like myself (5’8” 155). Had a crying baby and a toddler behind me so it was difficult to get comfortable. Searing was tight even for a relatively small person like myself (5’8” 155). Fast flight but arrived so early the gate assigned was still occupied by another plane so we had to wait for about 20-25 minutes to get reassigned to a new gate and get over there.

Best part: It’s operated by All Nippon Airways. It’s quite literally comfortable, reliable and respected from boarding to landing each and every time. It’s perfection without extremity in lavishness — it’s how flying should always be!

The check-in process is not the best They should have agents in site to help with any problem especially a rebook. Why does one have to get on the phone when there were at least 8 agents around that could have help?! Flying is stressful as it is and having someone willing to do their customer service will ease some of the stress.

I liked that the flight to Kosice was on time, the service was excellent and we arrived to Vienna early. The only thing I did not like, is that I had to pay for my suitcase $75. Bummer

The plane’s radio wasn’t working. This delayed the plane for an hour and a half. Then we all broaded and taxied down the runway only to get called back because the radio was still not working. Had to get off the plane and then find another plane making the trip 4 hours delayed. Maybe a different plane should have been chosen sooner?!?!?!

Late out of the gate, late to takeoff. No screens on plane. Uncomfortable window seat.

More water distribution throughout flight. Food quality poor and hot items delivered not hot on both attempts. Not United Standards

Everything was very good. Was able to change a make run flight leaving on direct earlier in the app -seamless!!! Well done

Haven’t used United in a while. Was surprised with the free blanket and earphones. Service was great. Huge plane. 9/.row.

The flight was very good. Only complaint was that the usb charging connection did not work for either me or the seat next to me so we both had to use our own portable battery to charge our phones. I also liked the fact that I could purchase Wi-Fi for an hour instead of for the entire flight.

Friendly staff at all very easy check in and organize process

Horrible airline, upgraded to sit on seats made of stone. Staff were rude and on top of it they charge an arm and a leg for luggage 🧳 never again

The seats are the worst I upgraded to premium big mistake and it seems like no one likes there job very unpleasant

they don’t have TV Seat to Type in space

There were several issues with this flight. I have flown quite often internationally and I was surprised by the lack of presence of attendants other than meal and drink times. The food was not best but I feel that is the norm. We also had to get off the plane once in London via stairs and bus to the terminal. Anyone who had another flight had to then get another bus to another terminal. This causes me to miss my flight and have to rebook.

The boarding process was incredibly slow, as was deplaning. They started beverage service and there was an extremely small amount of turbulence, so they discontinued it. They said they’d resume if possible, but even thought the rest of the flight was perfectly smooth, they didn’t bother. Getting our checked bags took longer than I’ve ever waited and they couldn’t even tell us which carousel they were coming out on, so everyone was running back and forth for 30 minutes.

It was really good. The boarding was good and smooth. They even checked our carry ons if you wanted to without any charge.

Flight was delayed , waited in the tarmac for 3 hours and then came back and was cancelled

Extreme weather delays. Missed my flight to France and I ended up leaving the plane.

I arrived to LaGuardia Airport 50 minutes prior to my 6am flight but was told that I was too late and would have to flight standby to Dallas in order reach my final destination of Jackson, MS. Hundreds of people were in my situation but the agents chalked this up to being normal for any day. Had my been able to board my original flight I would have arrived at my destination by 10:30am. I didn’t arrive until 7:30pm which included a 30 minute wait on the tarmac. Strangely my luggage arrived at my final destination at 12:30pm of the same travel day. This was by far the worst travel experience I’ve ever had.

The food was horrible compared to other airlines, there was no space for the overhead bins for carry-on luggage, and the seats were very uncomfortable.

I got food poisoning - lasted 4 days after starting medications - someone should check with food delivery.

They were not helpful in letting my baby and I rebook a flight early in the day when it was clear we were going to miss my connection (we did). The seats are much smaller than I remember. I did not get the option to board early with my toddler. I was flying solo with her and that would have been a big help.

On an overnight flight people behind me kept lively and loud conversation, which meant I couldn’t sleep. Food was really lousy, im sorry to say.

I enjoyed it! In that case, I should have been offered this choice. On my first trip to Miami, I was asked to pay $320 for my luggage just for getting it totally broken. I cannot accept this situation at all!!!!

They charged me $120 to check one bag and then charged me another $120 for a carryon. Ridiculous!

I was surprised that they didn’t offer drinks at least even though it was an international flight.

$120 for a carry on bag !!!!!! Insane. Back-breaking seats. Do not recline. Food service is a disgrace. They give only water and a salty snack. Everything else has a price.

Our flight from BOS - BOG was delayed 10 hours because they were waiting for a Flight attendant to fly from Miami. They lied and said they would give us food and hotel. That was a straight Lie! It never came! We were in the airport for 13 hours with Two babies. We were on the plane 7 more Hours. When we asked to get diapers from our checked luggage, Jorge in Boston told my wife she should have planned better. Meanwhile, the 10 Avianca Employees Sat there and did nothing for 13 hours. Yes, we planned for 10 hours with the wait and the flight, not 20 hours JORGE! If this was an American company we would have got a refund! But they are not up to American standards. The kicker is they apparently needed the 3rd stewardess to serve the food. Guess what? It was 4AM when they tried to serve the FOOD! Everybody was asleep by then! Ridiculous! Never Again!

My fly was cancelled so i run to the airport and fight for my fly Thank god at the end was good

Terrible. Flight was delayed without explanation, airplane was in poor condition (old, dirty) and crew was not in a good mood.

Definitely my worst experience. We booked a flight JFK - Cartagena with a layover at Bogota. My partner and I were on time for the boarding at 10:55pm. We were about to enter in the plane, literally, when one of the officer from the airline Avianca, took the passport of my partner to apparently « looked at his luggage reservation ». It made no sense, first the luggage was under my name, and then we went through all the controls at the airport. The person went back to the gate inside the airport, I followed my partner. The employees from the airline were rude and disrespectful. They were not explaining us what’s was going on. After 5 minutes of silence treatment. They told us that my partner was intoxicated (it was absolutely not true, they never conducted tests btw) and he couldn’t board in the plane and he will take the next one. They didn’t late us coordinated the trip, and not even let us say goodbye to each other. I was forced to take the plane to bogota and my partner to stay in NYC. It was traumatic. My partner had to wait 6h in the airport (night time) and he had to pay an additional ticket even tho the employees mentioned he was going to take the next flight. We are going to file a complain. It’s unbelievable. First and last time I will ever use this airline. I do not recommend.

Ok, but these people don’t give you nothing no snack no water

No water for a 5 hour flight entertainment not working seats with little room for knees when person in front of me reclined kept bumping my knees.

I got to where I needed to go quickly. There were no amenities. And the seats were painful.

The worst. Kayak sent notification at 2am and 10am regarding the delay. Then sends a notification an hour before original depart time that it will depart on time. I had to wait 8 hours at the airport. My family had to pay for lodging in Guadalajara where I was landing for pick up.

They were only able to give me a seat and not my travel companion, she had to fly on a different airline. unacceptable

Stood inside the plane for more than an hour before take off

I never got an email for checking in for my flight back to Los Angeles so I got to airport extra early to sort it. they changed the gate, and so I had to run to the other end of the airport. Their app is wonky. They are not on WhatsApp and I didn’t have cell service to call for help. I think they need to up their game with communicating.

The app doesn’t work. I am having a lot of trouble checking in for flight tomorrow. Very disconcerting. Then they es t to charge extra for checking in at the airport;(

Overall good flight. The flight attendants were annoying and unfriendly. They would ask me to grab someone else’s trash can just waiting until the person woke up or after the flight is done. It’s not my job to pick up someone else’s trash. Especially when it’s not easily reachable.

The reason we chose Volaris to fly from LAX to Mazatlan, Mexico was because of the DATES and TIMES for the NON-STOP flights. When those flights got Totally Changed that was UNACCEPTABLE ! ! ! Also, when my husband Died unexpectedly, the Only statement that Customer Service kept repeating was "they would only offer Credit on a future flight". REALLY?! Volaris was only going to offer CREDIT on another flight to a DEAD PERSON ! ! !

Service of the person who gave us the boarding pass

Overall good but we had a minor scare when a wind shear caused the plane to re take off on the first landing attempt. The crew handled it well and we landed safely on the second attempt
