Gate agents were informative and friendly… flight attendants were as well. Had a fun time chatting about their legacy AirTran experiences as a former fan of the airline that Southwest acquired.
Flight was awfully bumpy and landing was a bit jolting. I was in the restroom when snacks and drinks were served and was not asked if i wanted any. I had to ask for water finally.
Wi Fi was horrible kept cutting out the whole time and too expensive
I really like open seating. I hate that I've heard this is going away. This is one of the unique things that makes Southwest my goto choice.
Boarding was a little late, but made up for it. It was quick to taxi to the runway, since it's a smallish airport.
Excellent! Only question is how we check in at exactly 24 hours in advance and end up at the end of the B boarding group
Multiple delays and gate changes. Arrived at final destination 6 hours late. All rental cars had been taken.
Employees were kind and funny, as always! Flight was late but no announcements were made for people with tight connections to help them transition quickly. No service due to turbulence.
It was 2 hours 45 minutes late, for no apparently clear reason.
I recently flew Southwest from San Jose to Honolulu. I was very impressed with the flight crew, especially the flight attendant in charge of the front of the plane. She came through the aisle at least five times for drinks and water, and two times for snacks. I have not seen such service since I flew first class. Also, for the first time, they gave us the correct baggage claim number, and the luggage came out quickly. I can't wait for Southwest to have assigned seating! I absolutely hate the Cattle Call boarding procedure and the mad dash to get seats and overhead bins. However, the boarding was efficient.
Plane left an hour late due to flight staffing problems. Only a 45 min flight, but it took 3 hours as a result, which left a lot of people disgruntled. No excuses. No recompense.
Probably the worst 1st Class I have ever experienced. Sam, our flight attendant, was excellent. Other than that, everything from the Alaska Longe experience to the buggy app to the uncomfortable flight and uncommunicative agents were poor. The agent who booked us in forgot to mark TSA PreCheck on our boarding passes and we had to go back to get this done. They were a cut below every other airline we have experienced in just about every area.
Paid for first class, but the flight attendant for first class did the minimum required. She really ever came to pick up the trash, and never asked if we needed anything. Every person had to ring for the flight attendants if they wanted any extra drinks. When I went back to use the restroom, she was just sitting on her phone.
When we checked in our luggage, we had to use the tray, but include this tray is extra weight. I think you should not use the tray.
We had TSA pre check and paid to get it! They told us we would not have to do many of the things such as take your shoes off which I had to do! I’m 78 years old with NO criminal record and. they also patted my ankles down, Why? We boarded the plane in an orderly fashion only to sit there while they perform repairs to the lavatory. Why didn’t they do that before we boarded? I also paid extra to have more room because of my age but that was not what I had hoped for. I know you can’t control who sit in what seat but the guy next to me was bigger than average and took up part of my space.
I was able to upgrade to first class, which was great. Food and drinks were underwhelming compared to other first class flights I have taken.
I purchased a flight to Hawaii, changing planes in San Diego. My flight change location was later changed to Seattle then on to Kona, adding hours to my already long flight. Also, my flight home was run through Portland rather than through San Diego, once again, adding hours to my flight. At 81 years old I don’t want hours robbed from me.
I flew from San Francisco to Honolulu on Hawaiian Airlines. The flight was operated by Alaska Airlines. Everything was fantastic. On the return flight from Honolulu to San Francisco, boarding was chaotic. They called each boarding group 1 through 6 very quickly, and everyone just ran and got in a very long line. There was no enforcement of boarding groups. Carry-on rules were not followed, and by the time I boarded the plane, there was barely any overhead space. I was boarding group 4. The crew was very professional, and the Hawaiian Airlines terminal in Honolulu was beautiful. I wish the rest of Honolulu Airport looked like the Hawaiian Airlines Terminal.
From my interactions with the Oakland airport staff through TSA through the gate agents to the flight crew on Hawaiian they were just so kind professional and helpful.. the only thing I would add would be the they need more help and TSA and on the Hawaiian airlines flight it would be so much nicer for them to play beautiful Hawaiian music on the way over there.. they didn't start playing it until right before we landed..
Crews ADA compliance ecellent. Sensitive and kind observation involving several passengers on plane Plane clean and fresh includsing lavatories
The flight crew made the trip pleasant considering they had to work in conditions similar to a sardine can.
Having enough fuel to get to our destination seems like it should be a given when you board a plane. Not in this case, delayed hours to refuel.
Friendly & on Time .Need to make sure the Hana Hou magazine is in front of each seat
Most of the crew was wonderful but I had one bad experience with a crew member. When realizing my seat did not have an outlet compatible with my phone charger that I would need for transportation upon landing I asked an older, blonde heavily madeup member (I am describing her as I did not get her name) if there were chargers elsewhere I could use she said no, that not even the flight attendants had access to any. This however being my second flight of the day with Hawaiian airlines on a similar plane knew that chargers were available in extra comfort seating. I asked another passenger if I could use their plug and they agreed. She twice berated me for this and when I asked her to please stop talking to me about it she yelled that she was writing me up and ran down the aisle and did not return. I found this behavior disturbing. The other passenger was not bothered and this didn’t appear to be a safety hazard to anyone but it seemed to enrage her that used a plug that was not next to me.
I would like diabetic options for food. Seating was a little tight. Everything else went smooth
Good service because of wheelchair. Tight seats. Some announcements were hard to hear or understand. No directions for working the seat video or meanings of the icons. Coming into the country and changing planes was terrible with long lines and few desks open at the end. I had to go through twice because they found my tiny knife with fingernail scissors and file, when they scanned my checked luggage, and in order to keep it. I had to go through that long line a second time. Going home the luggage was checked all the way through
Service was so slow. I didn't get enough food and drink.
WiFi was not working thus the entertainment system did not work! Over 5 hours with nothing.
The extra leg room seat I paid a premium for was not at all what I expected. Everytime the person in front of me reclined the seat my food fell off the tray. The person behind me kept putting her knee in my back.
Some staff were very nice. Others were whatever. Plane was 2 hours delayed. Food was absolutely horrible. Nobody likes a turkey croissant. Gross. Serve something healthy and Hawaiian. Free internet was awesome but we only got that because we were 2 hours delayed. That should be standard on all flights, free internet. Luckily we made our connection but the plane on the connecting flight was ancient and had screws missing from the engine cowling. That plane needs to be retired.
