I really like open seating. I hate that I've heard this is going away. This is one of the unique things that makes Southwest my goto choice.
I really like open seating. I hate that I've heard this is going away. This is one of the unique things that makes Southwest my goto choice.
Multiple delays and gate changes. Arrived at final destination 6 hours late. All rental cars had been taken.
The movies using Southwest WiFi kept pausing and I had to restart multiple times.
First, my flight was a usual flight nothing exceptional or unexpected. Over all it was a normal, good flight! Second, your questionaire is wholly lacking in the proper options to which one can answer a question. Often on short flights, there is no food let alone entertainment so why isn't that reflected in your questionaire? A simple "not applicable" would cover that issue appropriately but no, your form arbitrarily enters an answer based on the initial assessment which normally isn't factual. Until you provide an accurate means of assessing flights, I'll no longer be completing of these unimpressive and misleading assessements. Thank you!
It seems as though the provisions are even less. Although SWA used to be an economy Airline, that isn't really the case anymore. I paid over $700. for a round trip to Denver and I could have flown just about any airline for the price. The drinks are now in a 6-ounce cup and with ice I'm sure a can would fill more than 2 cups. However, I am very proud of SWA for using paper rather than continuing to contribute to the millions of plastic cups being used each day. I've thought of this fr many years and am so glad to see it come to fruition, if not by only SWA so far.
Everything worked well. Crew was as entertaining as is possible on a plane flight. Southwest still has good legroom:
My original flight was extremely delayed but I was able to join the standby list for an earlier flight. I was grateful for this feature but I wish I could’ve gotten my standby confirmation sooner.
What’s best is they have free 2 check in bags. Unlike budget airlines that knocks you off with fees just for you hand carried bags
This was a train wreck with the schedule as soon as the delay was announced. The delay originally put us back by 40 minutes from a start time of 10:10AM, then later was revised to be only 27 minutes late. We began boarding only a few minutes late. I don't know what happened but we then left the gate over 45 minutes past our original start time of 10:10. Pilots did a great job of making up time (thank you for that), however upon arrival into the Dallas area, we circled several times, as there was a plane on the runway with mechanical problems, and didn't land and have the door opened until 1:46PM local time. I dashed to my connecting gate, fortunately only 4 gates away, and got there at 1:50PM local time. There were still people in line to board the jet way. The gate attendant made eye contact with me, left the check and station and promptly ushered the remaining people down the jet way, then returned to say the gate was closed and we were denied boarding. She then said I was already re-booked, not even knowing who I was. I did not receive notification of rebooking until 1:58 PM. At the desk we were then told that it was not their fault that our originating flight was late due to the stranded plane, and that the only compensation we could be offered was to be re-booked. I'm sorry, but at Love Field the ONLY airline there is Southwest, so yes, they ARE responsible for this! Also, choosig to deny me boarding even though I was in the queue 10 minutes prior to takeoff was an exceptional instance of very poor customer service. While I may not have many choices of airlines with flights originating from Albuquerque, Southwest is now last on my list!
Since the flight wasn’t full, we had some extra room. Crew was great
Overall, it was a good experience. Boarding was good and there was plenty of overhead bin space for everyone’s carryons (even when we boarded toward the end). Only improvement would be to offer trash service more regularly.
David went above and beyond to make our flight the best that it could be
No food service almost missed because of first flight delays
Had a hard time finding my assigned seat. No attendants to assist.
The negative was the wait at the airport coming back. I checked my bags in, an hour before boarding and I get the notification that my flight was delayed. Rather had gotten the notification while I was at the hotel. Then it was delayed 3 x’s. Ugh!
Plane still had screens for watching movies. Good selection too.
There was no air on the plane and it was very hot.
Good even though flight was delayed, the crew was prompt and efficient.
No access to the Wi-Fi, noisy group of people made it difficult for me to hear through my earbuds. Snacks and drinks - limited service when your seat is at the back of the plane - people up front are always served first and the back gets whatever is left. Not pleased.
In this flight we had selected seating for our family in the middle of the plane in a 2x2 format. The airline changed them to the very back row of the plane and split them to 3x1. Why pay for seats that allow seat selection if the airline will just move them to the worst seats in the plane?
Flight didn’t get dinner on business. I was starving!
I had two wonderful flights - very relaxing and got me there early!
I wasn’t happy with the hour delay from Dallas to McAllen, but that is the nature of travel. I don’t like to fly in general because of all of the problems all the time.
It went up and down at the right time and place. I’m happy with that outcome.
Most of the delay was due to weather which is not what was at issue here. One delay was due to a missing flashlight and in the end the flashlight was actually found on the plane. The entertainment system is very limited. Live TV options offer only a few channels that are not very appealing. Boarding and deplaning are always difficult. It just takes too much time to get on and off the plane. On the plus side, I missed my connecting flight, but was easily able to book a later flight from the app while enroute.
After several delays and being rebooked onto a layer flight, I had to speak to three AA agents for baggage claim to get an attendant. All were in foul mode and reluctant to assist or offer any assistance.
AA had a nationwide tech glitch today and after two connections snd hours of delay, I arrived 7 hours late to my destination
Was supposedly in main extra (row 10), but the seat spacing appeared to be regular economy (the head rest was blue, as well - same as economy, the seats in front of us had red head rests). Otherwise the flight was good and got in well ahead of schedule.
This was a horrible American Airlines experience, and it discourages me from flying with them again. It may have stemmed from a mechanical delay, but it appeared that the team was unprepared to respond to the delay. After boarding, we waited an hour before finally taking off. After landing at our destination, we waited an additional hour on the tarmac waiting for a gate (at 8:00pm) to be assigned and cleared. The flight crew did their best, but they were clearly tired and also ready to be done for the day. Because of the delay, I missed a connecting flight. It was a very poor experience.
When my flight was delayed due to weather, I was rebooked to another flight since it showed that I would miss my connection. It was a lot of work to get back onto my originally connecting flight which was also delayed. That part caused a lot of stress and frustration. The ticketing agent at the desk was not very helpful.
they delayed my flight which ended up, causing my layover flight to leave without me, resulting in me missing a flight and having to stay overnight in Houston international. I got no compensation other than a flight to my original location only a day later. i’ve never experienced such a unprofessional situation
My experience with the phoenix airport was terrible, the personnel lay the ticket counter charged me for a carry on that fit in the carry on size box, and the two women I spoke with were terribly rude and not willing to help.,,, there was one lady “candy” on the flight crew that was amazing and is the only reason I stayed on the flight at all, because the other stewards helping people to get seated on the plane were terrible
The seats were extremely hard and uncomfortable, even for a budget airline.
Boarding was very well executed. Got my bag right away.
Overall experience good. There was no food and seats were not terribly comfortable.
My first flight was moved 6 hours causing me to miss my meeting. The second was delayed about an hour and a half. Most of the crews apparently dont like their jobs or just working for Frontier. Only one flight attendant wasn"t snappy or rude.
The crew was ghetto lol I felt like I was on an inner city field trip
There was nothing to like, flight delayed had to move to different departure areas, disorganized to say the leasr
Canceled original flight and wasn't clear on rebooked flight. Had to pay for bags which was more than the flight itself. Normal help, drinks etc. you have to pay for. This is Not a low cost airline.
There were a lot of issues every step of the process. Check in, security, boarding, and dealing with luggage. Plus the money you think you are saving you end up using in hidden fees.
