Hertz messaged me that they didn’t have my car, which I had confirmed and checked in for, and after that notification they made me stand in line 25 minutes at their desk to be told I couldn’t get any refund. I looked for a way to contact Kayak for a refund, and there was no contact info anywhere on Kayak’s web site. So never again, Hertz and Kayak.

No one explained how to set up phone to open and close Tesla. So I locked myself out and had to pay $25 to remotely open car. Disappointing.

Nice, helpful staff. Our train was delayed, so we arrived during the siesta (Hertz Bari was closed 1300-1530, then the staff person who could check us out was delayed by his own train until after 1600. We were disappointed to lose ~3 hours at our one night at a “splurge” masseria. Car was great & allowed us to explore Puglia! We got a hybrid, so helped with gas mileage too!

Didn’t like anything had to cancel because they wanted to see a physical card even though everything was paid for in advance and I had id …I was waiting on a replacement card in the mail and used Apple Pay when I booked it …I don’t understand why they needed my card again even tho every fee was paid they couldn’t tell me why either…had to cancel and lost out on a 100 dollars ended up using Turo way better experience

Pickup and drop off were outstanding. Great staff - A plus!! The car was very comfortable.

Cons:

Some previous renter had smoked in the car and unfortunately it still smelled - faint but distinct.

Friendly and accommodating staff.

Cons:

I don’t know if there’s a way to incentivize other renters not to smoke in the cars. That was an issue that came up for me.

The staff at the Gold Star Blvd location was excellent, drop off was easy.

Cons:

I had a reservation for an SUV, but they didn't have one. Stuck with a minivan, had to exchange it at a different location the next day.

Both the Worcester and Westboro MA offices did an excellent job taking care of my needs and requirements.

Cons:

Would prefer if the rental cars had a full tank of gas upon pickup. Much easier to fill up properly when returning the car.
