Cons. The pool was cold, that’s really the only improvement they could make!
Pros. Great proximity to sightseeing. The included breakfast was yummy and had many options. The lobby store had a decent selection of drinks and snacks for purchase.
Cons. The pool was tiny and didn’t look very clean.
Pros. Staff was great at this Hampton Inn. Helpful, knowledgeable Friendly.
Pros. We received excellent service from this hotel! Greg at the front desk made a great first impression, even though we arrived to check in after midnight. In the morning, we realized that our plans for the day had changed somewhat. A man with the nametag of "Optimus Prime" generously allowed us to keep our belongings in our room and do a late check-out mid-afternoon so that we could return from our morning plans and change clothes before checking out. This generosity was given for free! They were also very happy to store our luggage for the rest of the day, even though we had checked out. The experience was made all the better by a free breakfast (both hot and cold items offered), as well as a great location near the White House and a few blocks from the Metro. We would go back again for sure.
Cons. The room was pretty small, but in a city like DC you're really only there to sleep. This more than served our needs.
Pros. Location was great.
Cons. Stayed for 5 days and requested an additional day (midweek) and was told rate would over double what I had paid since I booked with a "third party". Spoke with manager in the morning and was told she'd call room in 15 minutes. After an hour and a half waiting with no contact we packed and left. Happily stayed at a Kimpton 4 star hotel in Alexandria that was less money and awesome. Left with a really bad taste in my mouth for Hampton Inns.
