Pros. It was still a good hotel and a well run facility
Cons. I thought I was booking with Hampton and earning points. This property is not a Hampton anymore
Pros. Everyone was very friendly, patient and accommodating. We did ask to switch rooms after the first night because two of the outlets we wanted to use weren't working. They were very willing to make it work for us. There was no hint that we were inconveniencing anyone. It was nice to have breakfast available, even if it wasn't the best. The food actually tasted better than it looked for the most part. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave, and the AC worked well. Things were clean, and housekeeping did a very nice job every day. We got the sense that the management took care of the employees, because everyone was pleasant and seemed to work well together.
Cons. The worst thing was that the rooms were laid out in a way that made it hard to move around the room. We rearranged some of the furniture, and that helped. (We put it back before we left so the housekeeper wouldn't have a hard time.) But, even so, we were constantly getting into each other's way while we were getting ready in the morning. The bathroom was quite roomy, but for some reason the sink and vanity were in a corner instead of on the side wall. So, even though there was plenty of space, the only way for two of us to use the nice big mirror at the same time was for one of us to be jammed up against the toilet. And, we did both have to use it at the same time because it was the only mirror. Well, there is a full length one on the closet, but it's hard to do makeup there. It would have been nice if there was a mirror over the desk. Those are relatively minor complaints though. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay there again.
