Pros. Great stay , located and nice facility
Pros. Grounds / landscaping was good. Access to private beach was good. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful (Y-Jay in particular!)
Cons. There was no internet / wifi during our entire stay. We paid nearly $700 a night and internet was advertised as basic service. The Staff told us the whole island was affected. Not true. Wherever else we went had internet. Worse even, we found a roach in our room. The person who was sent over to kill the roach tried to tell us that it was because we left our room door open. Not so. We pointed out to him the gap between the door and the floor when the door closed which creates a natural opening for critters to enter rooms. I would never go back here. VERY poor overall service for the price we paid.
Cons. Overpriced food
Cons. The staff was very unfriendly.
Pros. Hi We stayed in RWI resort for three nights and for one night there was no water supply in bathroom and kitchen tap. It was the most embarrassing night during our stay. We did snorkeling and we're at beach whole day in sun and by the time we came home to refresh there was no water.
Cons. Couldnt provide us water to shower or drink for 14hrs.
Pros. Absolutely beautiful setting it's hard to beat the private beach in front of the hotel.
Cons. I think the staff could use a couple lessons in customer service, it often feels like they were troubled by simple requests.
Pros. Overall we were impressed with the Royal West Indies hotel. The rooms feature full kitchen. We had a king bed and a sofa pullout bed both of which were very comfortable. Each apartment features a patio with seating. TVs with cable were available in the living room and the bedroom. It was incredibly spacious -- much more room than we were expecting for a group of 4. They have bikes, kayaks, paddleboards and more for your enjoyment which are all included you just have to sign up for them. The location is prime -- right on the beach in grace bay and walking distance to the grocery store and prime shopping/downtime area. There is also a happy hour at the restaurant from 5-7pm with half-priced drinks. The food was good and not as expensive as most places in Turks and Caicos. Multiple pools and a hot tub were available on site. Would definitely stay here again. Staff were kind and excellent in their customer service.
Cons. Service can be incredibly slow. Our room was often not cleaned until after 3 in the afternoon though the cleaning staff was nice. Towels sometimes weren't available for the beach in the middle of the day. Despite those small things the staff was very friendly and responsive.
Cons. When our flight was cancelled due to Hurricane Erica - Royal West Indies Resort management refused to cancel or reschedule our stay UNLESS we book and PAY for a new stay no later than 2 weeks after the original booking. Only then would they refund the original booking. Considering there were no flight/ schedules available at that time and managements un trust worthiness. This was a completely unreasonable offer. Honestly, I have never experienced such sub standard or greedy management in my life.
Pros. The pool was the best part. There was a little shady spot for when it was too hot to be in the sun. It was nice and big and our daughter loved it so much!
Cons. One worker at the towel hut was rude. Limited the number of towels I could take. Ridiculous. The towels are small so 2 per adult and 1 for my toddler didn't seem like I was overdoing it. One towel only covered half the chair.
Pros. great location, good service
