I booked a reservation through Kayak for $93.50, but Hertz would not honor the price. They HAD the reservation, they simply wouldn't honor the price. The price they gave me was $166.13 and the person at the rental desk basically said "Take it or leave it". I had no choice but to take it since I had to be somewhere quickly

Horrible As a steady customer and Airline employee Hertz and Kayak have just showed the worst communication experience in my 55 years of renting cars I needed to change the day by one due to illness in family and tried for 2 hours on the telephone Finally getting a outsourced Hertz employee that just didn’t care in the Philippines . I was told I gave to cancel my kayak rental myself. I tried for hours and was told finally that hertz can cancel it however it will be a different rate of almost $78 more Anyway. Not going to waist my time with this experience review because it will be going no where I will certainly voice my experience with yelp etc etc. Buckle in hertz Kayak for your ride of negative Review. Goodbye Hertz HELLO SITX they treated me like a king with my new reservation

The staff was very friendly and even though I didn't get the car I reserved, I really liked the rental they gave me instead. It would be nice if dropping off could be more efficient, especially since the staff was already slammed with trying to help ppl who were picking up rentals for the weekend (they were working as fast as they can they deserve an award), so we were just kinda standing around until someone had time to check the car we were returning. But all in all a good experience and I would definitely recommend to others.

Enterprise called me shortly after my initial reservation and said they had no cars available for my selected time, but they would have a vehicle for me later in the day. Thirty minutes before my new pick up time, that enterprise set, they called me to tell me they didn’t have a car for me. I explained to them that I needed a car desperately and would be willing to take any vehicle, and pay any price associated with a new vehicle. The person I spoke with then told me they had no cars at all as their current stock was already set to be rented out for the day. The associate then asked if there was anything else she could do for me, then ended the call. Long story short enterprise shouldn’t rent out cars if they know they don’t have the stock to fulfill the customer promise.

Pros:

I've rented a lot of these types of vans and this one was the best with all the upgrades that have been done. When I reserved the van, I reserved a "mini van" but when I went to pick up, I was offered either a 8 passenger van with extra cargo room or a SUV. I took the van. It did really well. The price was great. Check in was quick. Check out took a bit longer but it was also the end of the day. I will definitely look to them again when:if I need to rent a vehicle again.

I did not like anything about this rental. The car we had was the most miserable ride. Extremely uncomfortable seats and less than efficient shock absorbers. The car had not been cleaned between customers and smelled of smoke. I returned the car 22 hours early and was given no rebate. That is a bad policy.

Everything was fine. There was a bit of a wait to pickup the car & mixup on car itself compared to the rental agreement. But everyone handled it fast, smooth, & positively. Drop off was smooth. No issues at all. The only inquiry or recommendation is to enhance the Dollar rental experience to be more like renting for Hertz, but there might be reasons I am not considering. Anyway, all good. Electronic car rentals themselves need some help, but that's the car & EV charging station issue not the rental company. Thanks

Payless car rental was closed when I arrived at 12pm on a Saturday. . Had to visit another car rental and paid four times the price. Very unpleasant experience.

Despite having a reservation to rent a car for a single day in Puebla, when we showed up we were told there was no car available. Then the man at the front desk said there was a car available but it would be more expensive due to local tax. We were okay with this, but he then said we needed to put down a deposit of $5000 usd, which seemed crazy for just one day. He then changed the deposit amount to $88 usd. The entire interaction felt like he was just making up numbers. It felt very sketchy so we decided to forget renting a car entirely and just traveled via bus…..

Kayak allowing third party insurance that is NOT accepted by the rental company is a total scam. GET RID OF IT. A trial bait and switch situation. Basically illegal.

We could not arrive on time before the agency closing hour. We tried to call the customer service to let them know and that we would come the next Day to pick up the car. The telephone number was not attributed so no chance to get anyone on the Phone. The next Day we showed up to the agency only to find out the car was no longer avalaible and our booking non refundable. Terrible terrible customer experience... We had to book another car and lost around 110 CHF over this crazy stupid process.

No chairs in the rental office. You have to stand up while waiting for the only employee to get to you (and it could be a long wait). No modern credit card machine so I had to be in contact with my credit card provider in order to authorize the deal. No way to buy CDW online (I got an email saying the order was confirmed, but was unable to find it using the thrifty website). I rented a car from the exact same location 2 years ago and had the exact same issues. It seems that nothing had changed since. The car itself was excellent, but the headache around the order was a letdown.
