I needed to clean the windshield but there was no washing fluid in the tank. Next time I will check. I wasn’t told the office is closed on Saturday and since there were two notes in the window, one saying Open 9 -12 the other one Closed Saturday and Sunday I wasted half hour waiting

Weeks after my reservation, after flying across the country, when I went to pick up my rental, I was then told “you can’t rent without a credit card”. I’ve rented quite a few cars over the past several years and have never owned a credit card of any kind. They offered zero help in trying to come up with a solution, just a hard and fast “you’re screwed have fun being stranded (with a family of 6)” thankfully we had family in the area that were willing and able to let us borrow a vehicle until we could get a rental from a legitimate rental company.

My experience with Alamo, and kayak in general, was awful. We reserved a car in a foreign country with the expectation of picking it up, but when we got there they told us there were no cars left for us. We were then told to get a cab back to the airport to try to rent a car there, and Alamo again had no other cars left so we went to another agency entirely. Alamo had nothing to offer us and I am disturbed by the “service” that kayak claims to offer. We wasted an entire day in desperation trying to fix Kayak’s wrongdoings and I do expect a refund of the hold fee as well as vouchers if they every expect us to utilize their website again.
