Well once it was fixed I got the ocean view that I had asked for to begin with. Description misleading on kayak. It said ocean view and I walked out to the patio to see a restaurant view. No ocean unless I cranked my neck hard to the left
The staff were professional and the location was perfect. We will definitely be returning.
Not exactly what you would expect for a five star hotel. Although the rooms were clean, they were meh at best. Definitely nothing special. There was an nespresso coffee machine in the room which was nice but all they had were paper cups. I travel a lot for work so I have a lot to compare to and I think the only value that this hotel had was that it was conveniently located. The value vs. cost wasn’t there for me.
Pros. The location is excellent It's a nice clean property right on cannery row Staff is very good
Cons. The rooms have a joint door and you can clearly hear the noise from the next room. In our case there was a baby crying the whole night and we couldn't sleep. On calling the helpdesk, the Manager offered us free breakfast. It was a good gesture to offer b/fast but the hotel should seriously think on the noise issue due to joining room doors. That design doesn't work. Also the swimming pool is very small and just for namesake.
Pros. You would think that a place this convenient on Cannery Row would skimp on the amenities but it does not. The rooms are incredibly spacious and lovely. The beds are incredibly comfortable, although the pillows are a tad too soft. The windows open - a rarity now days - letting in the sea breeze. And it's steps away from the Aquarium and plenty of shops / restaurants.
Pros. Location was excellent, Hotel was beautiful. Staff was world class. Will be staying again in the future.
Cons. A bit pricey
