We were on the ground floor, and it was a little noisy. They need to add a threshold to the room entry door.
I am accustomed to a certain level of professionalism and integrity when staying at Holiday Inns and the IHG Group. This was not present at the Mill Valley Holiday Inn. The room was dirty with trash on the floor, the reception staff was rude, curt, and impatient. Unadvertised is an amenity charge at the rate of $50/day -non-negotiable! There were NO Amenities available, the pool, hot tube, fitness center were all closed!! I shortened my stay from 4 days to 2 days and moved to another out of the way Holiday Inn where I received the level of service I am accustomed to within the IHG Chain.
An adequate chain hotel. Looks like it was an old place that had a makeover. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The complimentary breakfast included eggs and bacon with the usual carbo offerings. The eggs were clearly powdered-a little runny and a completely uniform texture. The hotel location is what I was going for. Easy access to the Marin county sights and 101. I would stay here again if I was in the area.
Pros. Serves it purpose Good restaurant next door
Cons. Expect much more for the price Best to book online, staff are obviously trained to quote highest price possible with no power to negotiate.
Pros. The shower was amazing and the beds awesome
Cons. No hot water at all on Friday morning waited over a hour and still nothing but ice water in the shower. When hot water was available shower w as awesome
Pros. The location worked well for me, close to Sausalito. The housekeeping staff did a good job with the room.
Cons. Hotel is dated and the carpets and furniture are worn. No restaurants in the immediate area. It is overpriced for what it offers. Far better to stay a bit further north - better value.
