Cons. The room is poor and the restaurant is not very good.
Pros. Worst experience ever
Cons. Never been more horrified by a hotel visit. The hotel was a deal so you definitely get what you pay for. The hotel is located across the steeet from airport but all of the crime in Irvine must happen at the hotel. Even before we got out of the car we noticed two police vehicles at the gas station that is found next door. We walked in and were greeted by a stumbling man. He seemed threatening and got very scared. My boyfriend asked if he was okay and the man responded by saying he just got high on heroine. Once we checked in i made a point to pay the $14 self park because of the visible conditions of the hotel. I asked my boyfriend to park across our window so wr could keep an eye on the car. We got in bed but were awaken at 2:30am by a loud drunk group next door. My boyfriend called concierge but it took them twenty minutes to send security. Security did nothing but knock and the noise continued all night. We spent most of the night awake. We called the front desk in the morning to ask if they could extend check out since we had a tough night at there hotel just til one. The girl could care less. I asked for an extra minutes because I had a headache and she still couldn't care less. We rushed to check out on time. While loading our car I hear my boyfriend say What? I look over and see a man approaching asking him if he just smiled at him. The man was clearly high and made violent threats to my boyfriend for smiling!. I signaled to my boyfriend to say nothing and got in the car. I pull out my phone to call the cops but saw him speed around to the other side of the hotel. As we're driving out, our prepaid parking slip wasn't working to open the gate. My boyfriend had to go back inside and have them fix it. The whole time I was worried he would get hurt. Definitely a very traumatizing experience. There was nothing good about our stay.
Pros. Left an item in my room, staff was very efficient in getting it promptly to me at the airport !!
Pros. Located right by John Wayne airport.
Cons. Our room was not updated, when we first checked in because we used a third party we received the worst location until we complained. We had to pay $12 parking a day. Our daughter checked in with their team got an updated room and breakfast buffet included. This is our second time at the Atrium, and we won't be coming back.
Pros. The pool area and friendly staff
Cons. smell of the room when you first walked in and the furniture and carpet is outdated. They also charge you for parking!
