Pros. Good breakfast.
Cons. I’m a Starwood Gold Preferred Guest and I can honestlysay this is the worst room I’ve ever had at a Starwood property. Today is 10/16/18 and it’s my 40th night in a Starwood property since April. Since 2009 I’ve stayed with Starwood from Kauai to Edinburgh, Scotland, and I have even stayed at two other Element branded hotels. Up until now I have loved their clean contemporary design while still feeling “homey”. This room legitimately feels like a hospital room. There’s a big empty space above the desk area that faces the bed, yet the 35” TV is inexplicably mounted by the microwave on a side wall in the corner. The “closet” is so tiny, my clothes don’t fit: they put a safe 18” below the clothes rod... The shower had broken plastic parts along the piping that’s connected to the shower head, and the light in the shower was burnt out. The lighting that works is sterile and there is zero artwork or anything welcoming whatsoever in the room. Also, despite my loyalty to the brand, I was put directly across from an elevator on a low floor, both in exact opposition to my humble requests. I’ll never stay here again (unless I’m getting my tonsils removed and need an overnight in a glorified hospital room).
