Pros. Location , comfy bed
Cons. Spa in the hotel and bath tub in the room
Cons. Bed could have been more comfortable
Pros. The amenities, the terrace, the staff.
Cons. We ended up with a “suite” which was kind of more like handicapped bigger room but it was nice all the same although a bathtub would have been nice.
Pros. I can’t say enough about this hotel and the fabulous staff! My boyfriend and I came to Chicago to see Pearl Jam @ Wrigley Field... this was our first trip together. The weather was showing thunderstorms all evening throughout the concert and the wonderful man at the front desk offered us complementary ponchos so we could stay dry during the show! This hotel checked every box.... the attention to detail was amazing! The rooms very spacious and absolutely gorgeous! The mattress and bedding were impeccable! And I must say... the bathroom was the bomb.com! We will definitely return to this hotel as much as we can!
Pros. Loved the beautiful hotel with amazing views from our room. The rooftop is also very nice. All of the staff were nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
Cons. Our room was pretty hot and we couldn’t get it to cool down even after turning on the ac and fan.
Pros. Great location. Excellent service. Well decorated rooms.
Pros. I loved this hotel, it is beautiful and stylish and well run. Staff was wonderful. I was offered a later cleaning time in order to get more work done in the mornings without even asking. The style of room and hotel is exactly as pictured and feels very well thought through and a lovely neo art deco concept. Wtih a surprisingly comfortable divan for reading with side table, light settings in both day/relax mode and vanity/full in the bathroom, and a proper espresso machine in the room. House keeping was excellent with comendable attention to detail and very considerate moving of things to allow proper cleaning. Everything felt very well run and well taken care of and professional.
Cons. I kept getting lost and found the hotel a bit tricky to find when on foot, tucked away on a side street. The entrance is also a bit hidden behind the front restaurant.
Pros. The concierge, specifically Tyler, was amazingly accommodating
Cons. House keeping never ended up cleaning my room while I was out for an extended period with our dog guest - even after I called to confirm they were coming up
Pros. Everything
Cons. Having to leave the next morning
Pros. The hotel was classy and sleek and spotless all of which was nice but the real charm was the staff who greeted me at the door and the front desk. Jim was especially personable and helpful.
Cons. Loved everything

Viceroy Chicago introduced a charitable program (Designer Doors for Charity) in 2018 as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Eight Chicago-based fine artists painted guest room doors on the fifth floor with art decors inspired by breast cancer warriors. The artists are actively involved in the Chicago art community that advocates for unique perspectives on the whole breast cancer issue. So, if you are an art lover and wish to support the charitable initiative, book one of the rooms mentioned earlier. Part of your payment will go to a non-profit cancer research institute in Chicago (the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation).
