The Mayflower Hotel is a part of the Autograph Collection, which is a capital classic. It is an elegant, timeless hotel and a social hub. This hotel has been around since 1925. It is the most unique hotel that anyone will ever see. Its very bold and intriguing and has very uncommon details to it. This hotel is the best one in the world. Nothing short of amazing.
The Mayflower Hotel Autograph collection is located in downtown Washington D.C. The hotel has 581 guest rooms and suites and is in the heart of the city. There are eight types of rooms at the hotel. The rooms in this four-star hotel feature plush bedding, high-end bath products, and a nice color palette of warm grays, and jeweled tones. Hotel offered valet parking but when I arrived to hotel no one was available at the front of hotel but taxies were parked. I pulled other side of the hotel to get in touch with the hotel staff/front desk, was told to pull up in front of the hotel for valet parking. When I got got to the hotel again, the staff told me that there was an accident previously and no access to the garage so the valet parking is not available. I was instructed to use the public parking. Later, I checked with the hotel front, the front desk staff told me the valet parking is available and there was a miscommunication. This is complete lack of service and in downtown hotel without proper information to customer is not acceptable. With the price hotel charge and the hotel bed is so old average height 5’7” person is not comfortable with the bed, will not use nor recommend to anyone at all.
Pros. Nice sized clean room, overall clean hotel.
Pros. Staff is very nice
Cons. No hot water each morning. I am a platinum elite Marriott member. Received $10 voucher for the bar/restaurant. They had a private party in the restaurant so I wasn't allowed to use voucher. The temporary replacement bar wouldn't accept tbe voucher either.
Pros. Hotel is nice and feels higher end, not cheap.
Cons. our room was near the elevator and we could hear it ding every time it came to our floor, people were very noisy in the hallways which you could also hear in the rooms.
Cons. Valet parking is awful. It took over 50 mins to get my car
Pros. Great location (close to the metro and the mall). The staff was very helpful, and cribs are available to use if you have small children. Overall, the room was comfortable and nice.
Pros. Beautiful lobby, great DC location, helpful staff, lovely room. A value I don't understand but was happy to have. Lovely room. It was great!
Cons. As a group we did not enjoy breakfast in the restaurant.
Pros. A really fabulous hotel, friendly, happy and helpful staff, proud of their hotel and city and keen that you share it
Cons. Not guite the same for some of the bar staff
Pros. We absolutely loved our stay at The Mayflower. My husband and I were there to renew our vows on our anniversary and the staff were extremely welcoming, making sure our room was ready several hours before normal heck-in hours so that we could get dressed and off to the ceremony in time. I can't think of a single thing that was less than exemplary- the loveliest hotel in DC!
Cons. I came in at 4 and there was no water or mini-bar in the room. They told me that if I wanted a Diet Coke I would need to wait until room service was open at 5. In the morning, they didn't fill the breakfast order -- said they didn't get it. This for $400 a night? Hardly 4 star service.
