Pros:Staff was quick and friendly.
Cons:Quality of the car was terrible, especially for the price.
Pros:the pick up and drop off was very well done. good customer service.
Cons:the car that i was offered for 35 dollars extra from my original reservation was very dirty from the interior. the car had gunk on the windows, the doors had sometype of liquid spilled all over them, and the center console was full of crumbs of food and buildt up gunk. I had to go to target to buy cleaning supplies to make the interior somewhat clean or at least sanitized.
Pros:It was a quick drop off. Car was clean.
Cons:The person who helped us in LAX really was pushing the add on insurance and anything else she could do. Was speaking extremely fast so we wouldn’t understand her and say yes to whatever she was offering. By the end of it, it ended up costing me what it would have costed going through a different company. NEVER RENTING THROUGH THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
Pros:I liked the car itself and the fact that we were able to upgrade last minute.
Cons:I was very disappointed and unpleased with the level of customer service provided by the tellers and management. I was a bit confused on the charges received after dropping the car off so I came in hoping for someone to explain why I was being charged extra charges but instead I was disrespected, talked down to, and even more confused. Rachelle was extremely rude and condescending. She could not explain the purposes of the extra charges and made my experience more difficult as I was simply trying to understand the extra fees. She ended up calling the manager Kenny who was very unprofessional and ended up walking away from me saying to “call him when I’m done” when I simply asked him to wait while I check my card to see the exact charges that were charged to confirm what he was explaining to me. He gave me no reassurance that I wasn’t being charged extra and as a customer I felt like I was being ignored. To top off my experience, when I finally got the track record of my charges through my card, I asked if someone can call Kenny back for confirmation and the other teller Ryan said “I’m not calling him, he’ll be right out, you can wait.” Ryan was not even the teller that was handling my transaction and was instigating when he had to place to add more to my horrible experience. Both tellers were ignoring me as I sat their waiting for someone to call Kenny back. They didn’t even bother to acknowledge me. It was so bad that I ended up talking to someone from Hertz who broke down the entire transaction in a few minutes and solved my problem. The Thrifty team needs better training when it comes to explaining charges and customer service. They wasted 2 hours of my time giving me run arounds when they could have kept it simple and and been direct like the way the Hertz staff did. I will never do business with Thrifty ever again. This experience was horrible and traumatizing.
Pros:Check in staff was very accommodating to our request for a style of suv to fit our party.
Cons:Worst was the shuttle to the airport after dropping off the car. We had THREE buses stop at Thrifty to drop off passengers for their pickup of cars. The first slammed the doors in my face in the rain, after tersely telling me another bus was 5 minutes behind him and his next stop was Dollar. Mind you, 10-12 ppl exited that bus. The second bus unloaded ppl and told me he was no longer in service. The third bus tried to tell us another bus was coming and he also had to go to Dollar before the airport. At that point we had waited 20-30 minutes for a simple ride to the airport and sat down for the longer route including Dollar. I won’t rent from Thrifty or Dollar at LAX again given the difficulty and time lost in getting a ride back to the terminal.
Pros:The gentleman (owner?) came to pick me up very quickly, was very friendly and helpful.
Cons:The car wasnt the greatest. The usb port worked but pulled out from the car frame when i tried to unplug my phone charger. I heard strange noises at one point every few minutes and eventually figured out it had something to do with the stereo being on. While the stereo was playing i would hear a sound like something going up or down just periodically for the first couple of hours of driving but the sound eventually stopped and i did not hear it again. Otherwise i think the car was fine. It was very clean.
Pros:The convenience of making a reservation.
Cons:additional representatives during peak hours.
It took 1 hour from arrival to departure to get our car. It was so ridiculous. Understaffed and then some employees stood around while our line got longer and longer. The employee who helped us was very nice and efficient. The cheaper price wasnt worth the hour.
I originally was supposed to pay $100 for the renta and they put all these charges and we’re not upfront with things. They ended up caging me 350 which is way above mybidget
Pros:The woman who helped me at the main desk was excellent. She was very friendly and helpful.
Cons:There wasn’t a single person who could locate the car I rented. I was shuffled around to 8 different people and after an hour and a half the woman from the front counter, who originally helped me check in, cane back and showed me where my car was ( and had been sitting for the entire time). I missed an appointment due to the length of time it took and I will never rent from Thrifty again.
