Cons:I scheduled a pickup at 8 pm. Arrived to find the location closed. It took an hour and a half and five phone calls to speak to a human, only to be told that I would have to pick up the car the next morning. Screwed up my travel plans. The customer service operator said that it is a known problem with their reservation system; inexcusable! Also, the car smelled of cigarette smoke, and had two chips in the windshield that they didn't note when I picked it up.

Cons:I was forced to cancel my reservation two months ago because of Covid 19. I performed the cancellation on line and followed the correct protocols. Contacting Sixt customer service regarding even a partial refund was arduous, difficult and unproductive. It’s actually laughable to receive an email asking how my experience was after I cancelled the reservation indicating a disturbing lack of internal communication. To this day, there has been no follow up and no one ever reached out to me regarding a refund. I’m extremely disappointed, I’m out over $300 through no fault of my own and as a result I will no longer utilize Sixt for any future trips, and will advise my fellow business travelers to go elsewhere for their car rental needs.

Pros:Nothing, Never got the car because they closed early and my flight was delayed. They charged me for 3 nights when I had to rent from Budget since they were still open.

Cons:Sixt did not have our rental when we arrived. This was despite the fact I had called to confirm our reservation twice before leaving because I had never used Sixt before. The actual office itself doesn't have a phone (I tried calling them many, many times) so the only person available to talk to is a customer service rep in corporate. The only comparable car was an upgrade that they were asking $150 additional for, rather than comping us for their mistake. Since they did not have a car available for us, we had to scramble the same day to find another one at a different rental company. I would never use this company again.

Cons:Due to the COVID19 pandemic, our flight was cancelled. Therefore we no choice but to also cancel our rental car. Sixt Rental has since refused to give us a full refund (only refunding one of the four days we were supposed to have the car). We’ve had to call several times and have emailed as well (per their request to see about getting a full refund). It’s been over a week and we have yet to hear back from them. We’ll never rent from them again or any company that requires full payment before receiving a rental.

Pros:pick up a drop off drivers were courteous and pleasant
Cons:Platform changed the dates of the car rental to be different from our flight arrival and departure dates even though we booked at the same time as our flight. The car we were offered at the location had dents and scratches all over andd d the front bumper was broken and hanging off. Had to request another car. I couldn't believe they were offering the other to even be driven off the lot. Had to pay for a new rental and request a refund for the original with that had the wrong dates...which was accomplished, but not easily.
