Pros:Nothing.
Cons:I attempted to call the Sixt staff a few days before my trip but they never answered the phone, despite numerous calls. This was all in an attempt to adjust a minor aspect of my rental. Given that it was literally impossible to talk to any human working for Sixt, I ended up cancelling my reservation (and of course not receiving a full refund) with them entirely and renting from a different company. If the staff actually did their job and answered their phone ever, that would have been great. They have lost my business then and now I'll never use them again.
Pros:Not really anything, I never used the rental as I had to cancel, but was charged anyway.
Cons:The response to the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic were poor. The website link to their policies was down and the phone number provided to talk to someone (or a machine) about the rental would not connect despite multiple attempts. Therefore I was forced to try and cancel this reservation online where I was charged the full amount. Sure I guess I should have had travel insurance or selected a rate with a more liberal cancelation policy in hindsight, but every other company associated with my canceled trips during this pandemic relaxed their policies (at least to give me travel credit). So since I also have future choices I will not ever rent with Sixt again, and instead support business that showed understanding during an unprecedented event. I suggest others do that too.
Pros:They changed the drop off location closer to the airport to accommodate my plans better
Cons:Pretty much everything. They let me make a reservation for the exact time that they were closing, and I didn't find out about that until right before my flight to go get the vehicle. I'm right to assume that most car rental companies are going to accommodate to incoming flights from all over the country. It was 7:00 p.m. because of this miscommunication, I had to delay my plans and not drive home until a day later, which of course costed me money for a hotel room and threw off my entire next day (I don't want to start my day driving two hours on the highway). Both of the attendance were less than accommodative despite this issue. Also, when I picked up the vehicle, the tags were expired. So I waited 12 extra hours to pick up a defective vehicle. I will never rent from this company again
Cons:Horrible service. Took my money, never got us the rental. Stuck in a snow storm with no rental because they were “under renovations”. Customer service kept me on hold for an hour and never returned my money.
Pros:The staff were very friendly and helpful. We took little time to check in and check out. It was a well run company.
Cons:Swore I was offered a 4wd vehicle when I booked online. When I got to the counter I was told that wasn’t guaranteed by Sixt and to talk to the booking company I rented through. Wasn’t happy with the bait and switch.

Cons:Pick up difficult because of moving to new site drop off was frustrating could not find rental place gpc had me driving in circles sixt did not answer phone when I called for help I checked off for the added insurace when I ordered the car and then had to pay more when I picked up the car

Cons:Make sure you get the insurance. Even a cracked windscreen is not covered when you rent even though they have insurance on the vehicles
