Pros. Sweetly redecorated to give a nod to old motels, but not old or worn down at all (nicer than the rooms at the Sheraton on the water). Breakfast was wonderful, all staff were very helpful and sweet, and it was easy to come and go from downtown (we chose to drive - it's less than a 5 minute drive).
Pros. We really liked the hotel. It was a convenient location, right off 95 on our way home from Maine. Clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly.
Cons. There was only ONE thing that bothered me and had we stayed more than one night would have driven me absolutely crazy: the floor above us. Our room was located on the bottem level of the hotel, room 125. The room directly above us has the creakiest floors which left me wide awake listening to the people above getting ready in the morning. Not a problem if they got up later or I was a deep sleeper, but the floor boards started their symphony at 5:30 am, far too early for my vacation.
Pros. The manager Steven went well above and beyond the service of any other hotel experience I've had and I travel quite frequently for work. I will certainly be back again. The breakfast is a great bonus!
Pros. The Port Inn in Portsmouth, NH is a well kept, clean place to stay. Convenient to the highway and to downtown Portsmouth with a very welcoming and friendly staff.
Pros. We loved everything about this place! When we drove up I thought we were going into a motel from the 50's, which wasn't a good thing in my opinion - I didn't have fond memories of those rooms. However, when we opened our door we loved the room! It was just like a boutique hotel room - it was really nice. The staff was awesome!
Cons. I probably wouldn't like walking to the office/breakfast room in the cold months, but in May it was perfect.
Pros. They were so good to our dog. We would stay there again
