The hotel is run down and we were emailed a couple days before our stay that they would be remodeling so the pool and gym were closed. When we checked in they said they were having issues with room occupancy and checked our room to make sure it was empty. It was full so they put us in a different room. People tried opening the door in the middle of the night saying it was their room and had checked in at 3. They said their stuff was in there. It was empty when we got in so we told them to go to the front desk. We stayed for 2 nights so we packed most of our stuff up to make sure they didn’t clean out our room and check it out to someone else while we were out for the day. We told the front desk about the people trying to get in and that we didn’t need any cleaning that night. When we came back in the evening, the housekeeper was still cleaning, even though we told them not to, and cleaned out the few things that we did leave behind like a razor and some water bottles. I’m glad I didn’t leave anything important like my medication’s behind. I definitely would not stay here ever in the future.
Pros. At first glance I was a little concerned with the up keep of the outside of the building. However, shortly there after I discovered that the hotel is going through a transition in ownership and that the new ownership is focusing on making the rooms cleaner and more comfortable for the guests. I was assigned one of the renovated rooms, and I found it to be as pleasant as any other place I’ve stayed in similar circumstances. I would definitely stay here again, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Pros. The location is good. The property seemed clean other than what’s mentioned below.
Cons. My room wasn’t clean when I arrived. The bed was a mess. Towels were piled in the bath tub. I told housekeeping but they didn’t seem that interested. The bed was a Sleep Number but didn’t work. Hard as a rock.
Pros. The hotel itself was very nice. The carpeting in the common areas was a bit stained and looked dirty but the room was very clean. The bed was a sleep number so we had to have maintenance come up to show us how to use it but agree we figured it out it was a very comfortable sleep. The only draw back was the parking garage. It's next to the hotel Ave it dues not appear to be cuteness regularly. There was quite a bit of trash on the ground and the stairwells were dirty as well. Other than that, the stay was nice.
Cons. Parking garage and common area carpeting were dirty.
Pros. Run down and it smelled horrible. The heating and cooling is outdated was the worse night spent in a hotel
Pros. Cleanliness!
Pros. The staff was friendly & helpful.
Cons. The TV reception and the wifi were terrible. When I notified the staff they said the problems were throughout the hotel and it happened at various times during my stay.
Pros. The staff particularly Patricia was incredibly helpful. Very convenient to ASU and fine dining. The beds and room are quite comfortable. We liked it so much we stayed three nights in a ten day period. Great breakfast offerings
Cons. Leaking ice machine on third floor
Pros. Room was very clean, liked the layout, flat screen tv, breakfast good with hot food, waffles, etc. nice business center with free printing (printed my boarding passes there). Close to airport, Walgreens, staples.
Cons. Parking garage was dirty and fairly dark. I was really watching as I traveled through it because there were plenty of places for someone to hide. Access to it was only via street sidewalk. Stairway inside of garage was especially sketchy and looked like homeless people had been staying in it.
Pros. Location was good especially for business travelers. Very close to monorail and quite a few restaurants nearby.
Cons. Dated, could use new carpet especially.
