Despite a great location, AND upgrading to a “Gold King” room , the room was so disappointing with barely enough room to get around the bed and a lovely marbled glass window to hide the view of the a/c units. The bed itself was 2 singles put together with a thin topper over them ! Obviously 2 different singles as they were differing heights and a gap !! Breakfast at £40 per couple was poor and frankly unedible. The orange juice was basically coloured water, the cooked food was barely warm , had been over cooked and obviously sitting out for some time. Speaking to the front desk in case there had been a mistake made , I was assured this was indeed a “Gold king” and a good room !!!! I really am struggling to find anything positive to say about the hotel apart from that I have stayed in far better budget hotels and certainly will not use the Cumberland again. All in all NOT a great impression and a spoiler on our trip to London and indeed I was embarrassed to take my wife their for what was meant to be a special trip with friends.
Fab location, and size of room was great for 2 adults. Felt very much like a soulless big hotel, not personable experience. I had booked guaranteed early check in after a long flight from Australia and this was not achieved, so was not a great start to my hotel experience. Breakfast was good, lots of options. Location of hotel is great, very central and easy to get to bus routes or tube around London.
Cons. The elevators were out of order and it was only one working. The lines for the elevators were huge and when we left had to carry the bags on the stairs !
Pros. Excellent location, near the bus and underground station. Close to Oxford Street Good breakfast
Cons. The rooms are not that big and a bit old.
Pros. Location
Cons. The rooms are too small
Pros. It's very near to all shopping area and very good breakfast
Cons. Nothing I'm just contented to ur hotel location and to ur services
