The car i rented was running on some old tires. Two front tires wire was coming off. I had to go to the tire shop to switch out the tire, put my trip on hold. I was suppouse to go skii that day but i couldnt. Very dissapointed.Reviewed Apr 25 2024

Pros:I guess with no one wanting to work, this is the new normal. There must have been a hundred people when we walked in the office. 2 people working. We waited an hour and heard rumblings that they were out of cars. 4 hours later we were pulling out of AVR with a car, which had stayed open late and another employee that had already clocked out came to the airport and picked us up. Pros:I didn't rent a car from Dollar. Their line was more than two hours long. After that, there would have been an hour wait for a car to be cleaned to become available. I rented a car from National next door to Dollar. It took less than five minutes to get in a car and drive away.Cons:Dollar was understaffed and overbooked. Pros:Absolutely nothing. When we originally tried to book a car, we werent given the car we requested. My wife waited on the phone for 20 minutes before talking to a person who didnt offer a solution, a cancelation, or an upgrade, which we would have been happy to pay for. We decided to let it go and deal with it when we got to denver. Once there, we waited in line for 3 hours for our rental and was then refused a refund when i went to another car rental counter even though there is supposed to be a free cancelation. That's right. I waited in line for 3 hours and was refused a refund because i wouldn't wait longer! 150 people in line and 1 person working the counter. So, i paid for a car that i never received. This is easily the worst experience I've had with any company I've had in my life. No one should book with dollar through kayak. Ever. For any reason. Ever.Cons:Every aspect of this experience could have been better. Getting hit in the face daily with a hammer for an entire year would be better than having to interact in any capacity with dollar rent a car. This is the very first bad review I've ever written, but my experience was so very bad i hope it'll help someone else avoid the same horrible situation.Reviewed Apr 27 2021

Pros:Staff was horrible. Line was 2 hrs long. employees talking with one another vs helping the customers. I was given wrong instructions by the associate once I was finally at the counter. Pros:drop off was easyCons:It took nearly an hour to get the vehicle as they were very slow and did not have enough staff. There was no communication that they were co-located with Hertz to look for the Hertz bus. We were not told where the vehicle was. (it was pulled up, whch was nice, but we walked the cold, snowy lot as directed and then saw it when we came back to ask for better directions). It is terrible to take 1-1.5 hours to get on the bus and get a car after traveling for hours to get to the airport.Reviewed Feb 22 2021
