The toilet seemed loose. It would rattle every time I used it. And it didn’t flush very well.
I had read a lot of worrisome reviews about this hotel on another website. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Yes, the rooms could use a little updating but the thermostat worked, the rooms were quiet, the staff was pleasant & the beds were comfortable. The room had a large TV & there were many signs posted warning about fines for marijuana use (criticisms I read on other sites). The only issues we experienced were running out of hot water once & having to ask to have our room cleaned. We were attending an event at the convention center across the street. The convenience of being so close was EVERYTHING. We had several friends staying at local airbnbs and there were lots of complaints about the $20 for parking at local lots around the convention center (with no reentry). We were also able to walk to many dinner choices downtown. I am sure we will be coming back for future events in Detroit & we will absolutely be staying here.
Great place for the price. Not the best hotel around but very good for the price. Will stay again. Clean. Felt safe. Staff friendly
This hotel stay did not start well and just got worse. 1. I was placed in someone else's room - YES it was already occupied and I walked in on them 2. The trashcan was left on the desk upside down with stuff in it, so when I moved it all the items came out 3. There were items that were not cleaned on the bathroom floor 4. The desk chair was falling apart and the seat was peeling off 5. The chair to lounge on had stains and was left I think to dry after trying to clean the cushion This customer service was bad, the room was worse, and I would not let my enemy stay here.
