Pros:Friendly staff, loved the Chrysler 300.
Cons:My initial flight was delayed so I called asking if I could pick up the car the next day, I was told it wouldn't be a problem but the person I spoke with didn't ask my name or reservation number. When I got there the next day, there were no Chrysler 300's available and I got a Kia Optima that smelled like body odor. I was able to take it to the airport Avis and get the Chrysler thankfully, and everyone was great that I dealt with, but obviously it would have been ideal to get the car I requested at the location I planned. Otherwise I would have just gone to the airport spot.
Returned car one hour late as thought it was due back an hour later. Avis charged me $58.00 for the one hour. The rate per day was $26.00. This is outrageous and total piracy. So ridiculous and stealing from customer. I am a business client so was shocked at this unethical business practice. Beware of Avis!!
Pros:Pick up was excellent. Staff assisted with ease despite me mistakenly booking the wrong airport. I ended up getting rental from Hollywood International FLL instead of Miami. Drop-off was quick and easy and I didn't have to worry about missing my flight despite being strapped for time.

Pros:Clean car! Located next to MIA mover
Cons:Everything. Long line due to one employee working the pick-up line. The car was not maintained - Logo missing from front bumper, trunk was jammed, key fob didn’t work. Drop-off was confusing at 1pm. Limited staff - some didn’t speak English! Very stressful
I've rented a electric car but when picked up the battery was empty (less than 10miles of autonomy) I've returned it and another was provided, unfortunately same situation. Lost an hour in a process so I then took the risk to drive it to a charging station... Be aware that most of the charging station displayed by Maps or even Ford systems are inside Condos and not accessible to the public which restrict a lot the possibilities.
Pros:Staff was rude! Horrible experience. I will never use kayak or Avis again in my life and I will always tell the truth about my experience to anyone who will listen and will always steer them away from both companies. Absolutely horrible experience!!!!
Cons:Everything! My family’s whole vacation was ruined because we chose kayak and Avis! Worst experience of my life! Terrible!
They assigned our rental car to us and another customer from Budget. We came back to the desk and they assigned us to another car only had 2 bucket seats in the back which would not work with the baby car seat. They then gave us the Ford Explore and when we drove out to the gate to leave, the attendant said the paperwork was not right. The representative never input the Ford Explore in the system. We spent more than an hour straightening the mess out and finally we were on our way back to the west coast. It was not an enjoyable experience.
