Theresa, Brittney and Leila went above and beyond customer service expectations
The M Lounge is open for Marriott elite travelers. The evening food offering is pretty lame. The breakfast buffet is back open and it is ok, offering scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, made to order waffles, and oatmeal, along with muffins, bagels, and whole fruit. Not a lot of healthy breakfast options. I was upgraded to a junior suite upon check-in. Big suite with a truly sizeable living room. Room was clean and comfortable mostly. The bed and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. Hotel staff were excellent, from check-in to lounge staff to housekeeping to check-out. Free DCA airport shuttle on the hour/half hour. A short walk to Whole Foods and the Crystal City Metro stop.
Pros. A good clean room in a meeting hotel, for a reasonable price
Pros. Staff was incredibly kind to my son and to us from check-in to departure. Pool is a plus for families with kids. Soooo close to the metro for business or leisure and close to coffee and a drugstore for incidental purchases.
Pros. The facility was nice and the staff was friendly.
Cons. The huge difference between rooms. Our double was way less elegant than the single queen rooms. So we had to choose if we wanted a nicer room or two beds.
Pros. Great renovations/updates and well stocked club lounge.
Pros. Guests with lounge access have access to full breakfast buffet
Cons. Needs a new gym and guest rooms in the Capitol Tower need renovations
Pros. The location was excellent. The hotel staff were very helpful. The Hotel is connected by underground tunnels to shopping and the metro system. The catering staff were very accommodating to my wife who is a vegan.
Cons. The only bad part was the hotel restaurant was very slow and overpriced.
Pros. Clean room, pleasant, modern decor. EXCELLENT location as the metro was accessible without going outside the building - this was extremely important to us as we were there for the women's march and transportation in and around DC was stretched to its limits. There was no hassle with having to get a shuttle to the metro as has been needed with other hotels I have stayed in, in the area. Staff was polite and professional - no problems checking-in 2 hours earlier than planned. Parking was secure and not excessively expensive. Negatives: No free in-room wifi, television was so-so.
Pros. Size of room Late check out upon request Clean Nice amenity products Bathtub Friendly, helpful staff
