I thought pick up was speedy and the plus was I was able to get a free up grade to an automatic. I had pre purchased car insurance through what I thought was Kayak like the car rental, but Alamo wouldn’t accept the coverage and had to repurchase car insurance at the airport. My car did have a low tire pressure light come on a few hours after renting. It appeared fine to the eye and since we were staying local, we didn’t return the car to Alamo.

The Alamo service was great. The car was horrible. I had to drive it for 4 hours to get to my destination and it was so uncomfortable. the worse are I have ever driven.

Car class reserved not available. Wait estimated at 1h. Class above immediately available but was asked to pay an upgrade! Took a lower class (no refund there...). Was informed that any breakdown would cost me 290$ for intervention, after I mentioned I was using my credit card insurance. And funnigly, the car I was given had a permanent hand brake alarm problem despite hand brake unlocked. this at pick up, but i didn't have time anymore to exchange. Gd thing I did only a small number of km.... Not a good experience this time. thks best Sylvain

The car was not available an hour after scheduled pick up and the line was too long for me to wait as I had movers waiting for me at my home. I asked the person at the front counter what I could do and they told me I would have to wait. No ETA or timeline offered. After I left, I checked back to see if it was available that afternoon-still no car available. Even an hour before my scheduled drop-off it said that the car was not yet available online. Worst experience working with a rental car company ever.

I needed a car at the last minute due to a canceled flight from Tucson. The only way to get to our destination for a celebratory event was to book a flight on another airline from Phoenix. I was able to make a car reservation online from my phone which was easy to do. When the counter opened the service person was very helpful but the added charges were very confusing and unclear. What started as a less than one-day rental to get from the Tucson airport to Phoenix airport costing about $100 turned into a rental for less than 8 hours for $250. Otherwise, the rental was excellent.

The Chrysler Pacifica had lots of pet hair (cat or dog), dirt, debri, & etc. It would have been better for me as a customer, to have been clean. At least vacuumed to get the pet hair up/out/gone.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent car rental attempt at Barcelona Airport. Despite having a confirmed reservation and providing all required details, including my credit card from Kosovo, I was informed upon arrival that Budget does not accept credit cards from my region. This refusal caused significant inconvenience and additional expenses, as I had to secure a rental from another company, GoldCar, at four times the original cost. Furthermore, at no point during the reservation process was I informed of this regional restriction, which I find unacceptable.

I called to make sure there was a shuttle to this location. They told me yes, I got on the shuttle and it only went to the airport Enterprise. I asked if the shuttle would take me to the other, they told me no. So I had to cancel that reservation and rent from that enterprise and it was $75 more since I had no way to get to the other Enterprise.

Drop off was difficult and unclear. There was only a small sign saying that budget was closed and to return car to avis. this should have been told to me at the time of pickup to avoid complications catching my flight

they should have disclosed that they would not be "open" during my return hours and how to return the vehicle to prevent issues when trying to catch my flight after spending 30 minutes driving around the rental area and airport trying to figure it out for myself

Customer service at the RDU terminal was excellent. The car was clean and it felt like an upgrade from what I booked, as it was quite new (low mileage) and was very comfortable. I needed to pick it up early, which was accommodated quite graciously. I had a 900 mile drive in this vehicle with no issues.

I opted to refill the gas tank myself, instead of paying for their gas service. I filled the tank less than a mile from drop-off. I even topped it up. After drop-off I received a bill for TWO GALLONS of gas that they claimed they put into the vehicle. There is no way they fit that much gas into that car. Had I not been paying attention, I would've been ripped off. Double check your final email receipt. You may not get it for a day or two.

Firstly, Picking the car up was inconvenient. The business card i tried to use could not be used because the chip could not be read. I was told that would be the only way that they could use a card (no swiping the card or even manually entering. So, I used my personal card, while exclaiming my dissatisfaction. Then, first car I picked was absolutely filthy and moved to another car that was less dirty. I went about my way and drove to Ft. Liberty for work and then returned the car a few days later. The return process was much better at least. When I received my receipt, the final charges do not seem in line with what was presented on Kayak, and I asked for a follow up email or phone call to see if I could speak with someone about the matter and still haven't been contacted.

We were not told prior to picking up our rental that there would be a large deposit along with the price of the vehicle. This would have not been an issue had we been informed so we could be prepared. They would also not let us split the payment on two cards. Therefore not being able to pick up the rental before they closed. Like I said, it wouldn’t have been an issue had we been informed prior to driving to the rental location.

Priceline booked us at an off-site location which was closed when we landed. Avis and Priceline both blamed each other when a $50 no-show fee was assessed and neither would take responsibility for assessing or removing it. Priceline did the same thing on another future rental so we cancelled it. We will no longer use Kayak for rental cars.

Both gals who helped me with pick up and then drop off were super.

The pick up at the Raleigh NC mall 5 days before Christmas was very chaotic. I couldn't find the car once I had the keys, and the woman working was all alone so couldn't leave the desk inside the mall to help me find it. That was very time consuming and took much longer than it should have. Having dedicated and labeled Avis spots in the mall parking lot are a necessity, especially if Avis isn't going to hire extra help. She had to leave her post and help me find the car. She didn't know where it was either in the chaos of a mall parking lot before Christmas.

I didn't like national due the over charge was out rageous, getting charged 80 cents kilometers when it'd suppose to be 33 cents kilometers. They were charging 3000 kilometers when it's 23650 n charging 2000 in kilometers charges when he said I was out of province, they gave me a Alberta license plate car n now they want to charge me, the attitude from the man was very rude,problems with car and said couldnt do anything, I need to be treated like criminal, when it's criminal the way they try and scam you. I will never rent from another rental car company again especially your company, I don't give you any stars and a poor review. Worst company.. the way he ordered me to pay and the way he talked to me in public, he said I don't need to talk to him like that when he kept refusing to give the mangers number and argued with me n when people were staring he said I don't need to be treated this and talked in his language and got angry gave me the number after 20 min, I walked 2 hours home passed off with the treatment and then the guy took the car out and literally stepped on the pedal went more then speed limit on the airport road, he was mad with ne cause I refuse to pay 3000 dollars for double the amount to what was told.. never rent a car in fort st john they will rob you blind...

They tried to rip me off! didn't provide me with a damage for the existent damage and the employee said will provide it latter but I took pictures before I use the vehicle. Now they are saying the car never been damaged and I have to be charged for the old damages as according to their system the car never been damaged and the vehicle year is 2021! I disputed it and sent my proves but it is very poor management and it is stress and anxiety no needs for me to go through I put down a cheaper options to be with reputable company but National/Enterprise prove me wrong.

The experience started badly, but then was corrected by a manager named Edgar. He was very gracious and professional. He quickly corrected the problem. As per their staff in general, many of them were rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. I will honestly say that specific manager named Edgar (Edgardo) is the best asset Sixt has.

Jose was super kind to me when I arrived. I was flying in for a funeral and he had nothing but kind words for me and helped me tremendously when my booking was not ready due to cleaning. He knew I needed to get on the road to be with family and did everything to accommodate me. I will definitely use Sixt again based on customer service alone. Thanks!

While Kayak states that changes can be made for free, Sixt does not honor that and wanted to charge $250 for a date change. Also, when we arrived at Sixt in Lihue Chrissy, the Sixt representative, said that they had to redo the rental charge because the credit cards didn’t match which was not true. However, I went along with it. She assured me original charge would be refunded. When came time to pay it was $1,000 more. She said that the car I had reserved was unavailable and was attempting to rent me an Escalade. I stood my ground and somehow the car I had rented originally was there and the price I initially paid was charged. I confirmed with credit card account that she refunded and then recharged the same card. Very sneaky . Be aware.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel.
