Very disappointed. When we picked up the car, they told us that the only way to pay was to either make a 3000€ deposit with a credit card, or to pay 40€ extra per day, so 300€ more in total. Having no credit card, we ended up having to pay 300€ more. People were clearly trying to get as much money as they could, selling extra stuff

Rental Insurances seem to get increasingly complex. We spent as much on insurance as on the car price. We KNOW the company already has insurance, so all these tactics make it a bad transaction. Other than that good.

Pros:

Very friendly staff and good prices. The return was super! Very friendly guy at the parking lot, super smooth return.

Cons:

The baby chair was awful, they only had older models thrown in the trunk of a car and they didn't know which ones were good for a child of 9kg. The pick up took a very long time because the person working at the lot just circled around in hot weather. Didn't get us started well.

Pros:

The address of the pick up location was a closed storefront. No one notified us of this closed property and sent us on a wild goose chase. The car we rented was not cleaned from the previous rental. The windshield was so dirty we couldn't see out. It was a Mercedes-Benz hatchback, which did not hold two suitcases. We had to leave one suitcase in full view for the week rental subjecting us to potential thieves.

Cons:

We have never owned or driven a Mercedes-Benz before, and it was no more luxurious than an economy car in the Opel Chevy Ford categories.

It took awhile for the shuttle bus to get to the airport for pickup. My insurance provides coverage for rental cars. Unknown to me, they require a copy of my insurance policy to 'verify' that I have that coverage, or else I have to buy their insurance coverage. My flight was delayed and I got to their facility about 8pm. She said I was supposed to have picked up my car by noon and would 'have to see if they still have a car available and if they could verify that my original rental fees were still available". They decided to let me have the car. It is dark outside and they have the black vehicle out in a dark area where I am supposed to inspect it for any damage. I brought the card back in to her where I marked that I didn't see any obvious damage, but trying to see any surface scratches or scrubs was impossible. She said, 'you didn't write the mileage down''. I said the rental agency normally does that. I went back out and got the mileage. At this point I was frustrated and really needed to get on the road as I had a 1.5 hour drive to get where I had to go and be up for a very early meeting. I have never gotten a rental that didn't have a full tank of gas, EVER. About 10 minutes down the road it started to rain and I was trying to figure out the wipers. I then noticed it only had a 1/2 tank of gas!! When I got back I mentioned this to the lady behind the counter. She said it was my problem because I was supposed to inspect the car before taking it. Lesson learned when dealing with Surprice!!

They are a cut rate car rental company that operates and feel like a scam. Address is wrong, phone number is wrong, office is a pop up. They demand a HUGE deposit that is never mentioned in the prior rental agreement and claim to need 20-30 DAYS to return it. Everything is hand written on paper and it all just feels off.

The car was fine. Pickup/dropoff was a pain due to the off-airport location in a strange area. High pressure and extortionate fees (250€ per 2cm scratch) to encourage purchase of their "insurance". The insurance if purchased would have more than doubled the rental fee.

I did not get the car they did not have an automatic and I tried to cancel additional insurance coverage but never could do this on my phone so I wasted $90 plus car rental fee.
