KAYAK Hotels is excited to welcome our newest team member, Indy Adenaw, who will be leading brand development and strategy as Managing Director.

A veteran of the hospitality industry with 15 years experience, Indy has influenced some of the most respected global hotel brands. His career began as Senior Director of Brand Management & Global Brand Leader for Moxy Hotels, part of Marriott International’s portfolio. While there he helped craft one of the most disruptive hotel brands, and was the driving force behind transforming the traditional hospitality model to create the enterprise’s first select-service lifestyle hotel.

Later, Indy was tapped to become Vice President of Global Brand Leader for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, where he drove its global transformation while strategically navigating the brand’s complex nature. Before coming to KAYAK, Indy served as Managing Director for the national nonprofit Management Leadership for Tomorrow, leading its Black Equity at Work program to bring companies closer to racial equity.

“Indy’s a terrific addition to our KAYAK Hotels team,” said Steve Hafner, CEO of KAYAK. “His experience building and refining global hotel brands will help accelerate both the rollout of KAYAK Hotels, and the development of our software platform.”

When asked what he’s most excited about in joining KAYAK Hotels, Indy responded: “KAYAK’s ambition quite simply drew me in. It’s a company with a natural center in data, technology and analytics, but married with that is a deep desire to take chances, break new ground and introduce new services. I’ve always worked with traditional, Fortune 500-type companies, and here was an organization with deep strengths and infrastructure but was also willing to enter spaces it had no prior experience in. That combination was really attractive. I am fortunate to be a part of KAYAK Hotels with some remarkably talented teammates.”

KAYAK dipped into the hospitality world in April 2021, when we opened our first-ever branded hotel, KAYAK Miami Beach. Since then, we’ve added two additional sister properties in Playa del Carmen: KAYAK Luna and KAYAK Sol. As we continue to evolve our portfolio of hotels, we’re excited to have Indy on board. His expertise, knowledge and grit will help us continue reimaging hospitality as we look to open 10 new properties in 2022.

“KAYAK Hotels has an incredible vision and team behind it,” Indy says. “I’m looking forward to shaping the future of the brand.”
