The experience started badly, but then was corrected by a manager named Edgar. He was very gracious and professional. He quickly corrected the problem. As per their staff in general, many of them were rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. I will honestly say that specific manager named Edgar (Edgardo) is the best asset Sixt has.Reviewed May 22 2024

Jose was super kind to me when I arrived. I was flying in for a funeral and he had nothing but kind words for me and helped me tremendously when my booking was not ready due to cleaning. He knew I needed to get on the road to be with family and did everything to accommodate me. I will definitely use Sixt again based on customer service alone. Thanks!Reviewed May 21 2024

While Kayak states that changes can be made for free, Sixt does not honor that and wanted to charge $250 for a date change. Also, when we arrived at Sixt in Lihue Chrissy, the Sixt representative, said that they had to redo the rental charge because the credit cards didn’t match which was not true. However, I went along with it. She assured me original charge would be refunded. When came time to pay it was $1,000 more. She said that the car I had reserved was unavailable and was attempting to rent me an Escalade. I stood my ground and somehow the car I had rented originally was there and the price I initially paid was charged. I confirmed with credit card account that she refunded and then recharged the same card. Very sneaky . Be aware.Reviewed May 20 2024

It was the worst experience renting a car. First, the advertised price is a scam anfter adding insurance, the price doubles. I booked a standard car, only to discover that it is a Chinese car, which I do not prefer to drive, and there are no other options. Third, the down payment amount which is 2000 AED which is the highest among the companies. Especially since the car is not a luxury class. Fourthly, and most importantly, they refused to hand me the car because the credit card is in my wife’s name, despite me entering the PIN and using the same card to rent a car from them previously, and they told we will cancel the booking for free and refund your money which didn’t happen till now, they cost me 120 AED to take a taxi back and forth.Reviewed May 19 2024
