9.7 Wonderful
Pros:I, along with my children had a great stay at The Boulevard Motel. This motel reminded me of the motels/hotels, I stayed in as an adolescent while on vacation at the shore with my family. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed talking with Cindy or Anne(not sure of her name) about the history of the motel, which was started by her parents many years ago. It's nicely maintained for an older motel. A little bit of wear and tear does not bother me as long as it's clean, and this motel was clean. (Note...I enjoyed the fresh smell of the towels as I dried myself off after showering). The coffee, bagels, and pastries under the huge Holly Tree was such a nice treat first thing in the morning. The only negative comment I have would be the noise from the traffic via the street and Parkway. (But, I knew this going into it based on its location). That said, when the AC unit ran, it pretty much blocked out most of the traffic noise, which is a positive. I wil definitely return next year.

Pros:This is a mom-and-pop-shop type of setup. The room was small but serviceable. The location for us was ideal because we were NOT there to go to the beach/boardwalk but rather to visit someone and it was very close to their place. The tiling in the bathroom was brand new and very nice. The beds and pillows were super comfy. The entire property was spotless and ship-shape (except for a black bobby pin that was on the floor of our bathroom the whole time we were there). They put out a Keurig and fixings for your coffee under a holly tree on the property around 8 am every morning. We were even late driving in, and they kept the office open so we could check in. The room also had a fridge and microwave combo from "Nostalgic Electronics" that were in aqua blue and very retro looking. We loved those!
Cons:The bobby pin in the bathroom was literally the only thing, and how tiny is that? :) Overall, recommend highly.
