The person at the counter told me she couldn’t add my AARP discount I had todo that thru the 800# . She had filled out a contract on an up sale vehicle and I advised that’s not what I needed as I was taking it one way and flying back. She had me go out and compare the 2 and make my decision. I can back to a line of customers in which I had no issue waiting my turn as I chose to walk out and look at the vehicles. She called me back to the counter asked which on I wanted made notes on the contract and sent me on my way. Never corrected the contract so I shouldn’t have signed it and waited until I got proper paperwork. I got the vehicle drove 30 miles to my home to load things and called the 800# about my AARP discount in which I’m told has to be done at the rental counter where I picked up the vehicle from. He gave me a direct # which I called back several (18) times with lapse in between and she never answered. I called the 800# back once I got to PA to see if I could extend my reservation for 2 days until my flight left so I’m not depending on others to take me to the airport when my flight leaves Monday and was told it would be an additional 560$ for 2 days. However since I didn’t get my discount from the original agreement they could take off $175 to $180 if I did return the car by the original specified time. I turned it in as agreed and wasn’t given my discount. I will not be renting from their company again.

The car was easy to pick up but had pressure to upgrade. The car smelled like smoke which was a definite turn off.

Service at the pickup desk in the airport was friendly and helpful. The line was not long. Access to the vehicles was convenient, and we did upgrade for a small fee to a larger and new SUV which made the trip more enjoyable.

Rented a Large SUV (Suburban or Similar) got a mini-van instead. I was told they were all out when I arrived. But there some sitting on the lot waiting to get turned over. Got into the mini van and it wasn't cleaned very well. It also started rattling on the road. Pretty sure it was way over due for an oil change. The sticker said Oil change due at 41k and I pulled off the lot with 52k on it. I really didn't have time to play game , I had to get going. So I took the car regardless. Will be a while before I use Budget again.

Pros:

"Christina" was very kind and professional, always happy to answer questions. All the staff was friendly and great! Location easy to find and pick-up service was helpful.

Cons:

Car could have been cleaner, especially the windshield, carpet and console. when you pay for a rental it should be clean! Also the gas tank was only 1/4 full which makes it inconvenient when you are doing a road trip to have to stop for full right away.

Car was great. Drop-off was great. Picking up the car took forever. There was one person operating the desk and a line that took just under an hour to get through when I personally was up there for less than 5 minutes. If people are making changes, they need to move to the back of the bus or there needs to be another line for people that have there stuff together.

After I booked the car the agent from national in Panama City airport called me and told me they were sold out so I was on my way to the airport thinking I had a car but I didn’t

I received a notice that my vehicle was reserved, but after driving to the airport to get it, they had none. No one ever got back to me to say they had no vehicle to prevent me from wasting my time driving to the airport and back.
