Booked a united Air flight with option to pick seat , then found out was on an Air Canada flight with assigned seat , then they wanted a several dollar charge for some 25 cent value entertainment listening ear device
The free snack options are pretty pitiful for a 2.40h flight.
Basics were there, but a 5:15 flight with almost no food ans no entertainment, it is quite long.
Onboarding process was great and efficient. Plane was very new and entertainment choices were great. The only complain is no meal despite it was a flight that is longer than 6 hours.

Be very careful of the initial low price because Avianca wil bill you for a carryon of $120 or a checked bag for $120. Also, be careful with connections because the customs entry process is slow and the connecting terminal is not close.
The connection time is too short to pass through customs and once you do clear customs the connecting flight is in another terminal that is not close.
Horrible. I have been trying to speak to a representative to know why I was over charged but I get redirected to AI Vianca everytime with no results. Is there an agency that oversees airline gouging? I will never fly or recommend Avianca to anyone not that you care.

Horrible. They canceled several flights and kept pushing us to different flights. We were 12 hours in the airport with no compensation and not even a single apology.
The fees for baggage were outrageous. $130 for carry on and $150 for check in for an international flight. The seats did not recline. We were not even offered water. Had we known all of this, we would not have booked Avianca at all.
I was shocked flying to El Salvador that they only give you water. Everything else you have to pay for. There is no wifi or entertainment and it’s an international flight. At least back in the day they had tvs on the plane and everyone watched the same movie. Also seats do not recline, even comfort or plus.
