Pros. The rooftop pool is worth the stay. Not sure about going there at night but during the day, it's so far my favorite spot in the city :)
Cons. The room itself is fairly standard. The ~$350/night is mostly towards the location and the pool.
Pros. I can't compliment this place enough. My wife and I stayed there the night before our cruise, and once more after our cruise ended. Our second stay was even better than the first. Top notch, friendly staff and a beautiful room. Can't beat that.
Pros. All the staff, from the doormen to the concierge were friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic, it was spacious and had a very modern, crisp decor. I felt like my wife and I had a nice little apartment in the city for one night. We're going back to New York in a week and we're staying there again.
Cons. I honestly can't say anything too negative. I didn't particularly enjoy spending $350 plus, and it got a little noisy at times but I feel like that comes with the territory when you're in Manhattan. I will say that regardless of where you're staying, $18 for a movie is almost offensive. Why not just charge 2X what it would cost us at home? It would be a nice gesture.
