It was a great hotel to stay in the heart of NYC. Because it was climate week, it was tough to get an super early check in but the team did there best to get me in earlier and I did appreciate that. The room was excellent! the bathroom I had had some bubbling of drywall but they do not have a fan to help with moisture.
Amazing location, very central and easily access to all Manhattan. Rooms were clean and tidy, however it was not well catered for a family and we were told there would be a 2 hour wait for extra linen for the sofa bed after checking in at 10pm! If you can get it included, the breakfast is amazing - wide selection of food and bottomless coffee. We stocked up then and skipped lunch. Make sure you're there around 7am as any time after you could be queuing up to 30 minutes for a table. Very busy hotel, obviously used for business conferences so the lobby and elevators can be chaos at peak times. There's a mandatory $35 daily charge that you can use towards food and drinks (you get charged this whether you use it or not), however prices in the hotel are very expensive - expect $9 bags of crisps and $10 bottles of water...
You have to pay $70 per night at check in so heads up but apart from that the lounge was excellent.
There was nothing to like about the property. Hotel is below average only the location is good. Being a hilton gold member, we should been checked-in sooner but it took 20 mins. We could see the staff around front/reception area but they would not come. Secondly, in the bathroom there was mole in the shower curtain and grab handle was broken and I almost fell. Thirdly, our room opposite the staff utilities area where they pick up their cleaning carts etc etc. we had DND sign but staff was extremely loud in the morning unaware of the fact that guest might be sleeping. Fourthly, usually we never have to pay to keep our bags at any hotel incase we check out early and there is time in the flight. But here you would need to pay $ 5 per bag and it seems like hotel has made it an additional business. So all in all a very average experience for me. Make your choice carefully.
