It’s a bit older and carpets and wallpaper are in need of refurbishing, but the location is great for access to Boystown and the bed was comfy. The Starr were hit-or-miss: some amazing people who were really helpful and some who seemed not to enjoy their job at all. If you want good value and don’t require NEW everything, this hotel fits the bill.
Cons. They did not honor my reservation for room type putting me in a conference room with an uncomfortable murphy bed they called a king the first night - it was probably not a queen. The next night the room was a King suite but dated, and King bed uncomfortable. Terribly outdated small tvs.
Pros. Nice clean boutique hotel, great location on Chicago’s north side, desk clerk was very nice. Decor throughout looked nice, inclusion in the room. The wet bar items in the room were fairly reasonably priced.
Cons. This was an incredibly tiny room. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible, the doors in the hallway slammed every time someone went in or out and kept waking me up, I hardly slept. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. My window opened onto an alley with a wall of Windows, and there was no privacy without completely blocking all of the light. I got the room through Priceline discount and wondered if I was given a crappy room because of that.
Cons. Our room was showing its age with peeling wallpaper, worn carpet and dowdy furniture. Time for a face lift.
Pros. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. Good location if you don't feel like staying downtown.
Pros. The bed was comfortable.
Cons. The room was a little bit small but perfect for just me.
Pros. Walked to Cubs game! Walked to amenities and dinner, great location!
Cons. Old building, but tasteful decor and very clean! We didn't have time to enjoy the cookies or breakfast but overall a good stay! Staff was very nice.
Pros. Quaint cute hotel hidden among a nice neighborhood just away from the busyness of Wrigley. We walked to Wrigley stadium 2 xs during our stay. The hotel room was small but clean and comfortable and the prices for the mini bar were a nice surprise!
Cons. Our room was really small and the breakfast was a sub par continenta,l but our bathroom was really nice and they had robes and all the hair/body soaps necessary so no need to bring your own.
Pros. It was located in a great area, I had everything I needed. As I was checking out, one of the housekeepers ran all the way down to give me my computer charger!
Cons. I thought the cost was a little high for the size of the room, but not big deal.
Pros. I was able to travel to work downtown easily for a new job. It was very convenient to stay here while waiting for my new apartment to be ready. They were able to store my personal items until I could move to the new apartment. The entire staff was very friendly.
