Japan entry details and exceptions

**Effective January 8, 2022 - Temporary Measures are applied to those entering Japan from China. All travelers and returnees who have stayed in China (except Hong Kong and Macau) within 7 days prior to the entry and all travelers entering Japan via direct flight from China (except Hong Kong and Macau) will be required to obtain a pre-departure test certificate and submit to on-arrival testing at the quarantine station.**
Japan is now open to travelers from all countries or regions. Travelers are required to provide either a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate (3 doses) of WHO-approved vaccines or a certificate of negative result of pre-departure COVID-19 test conducted within 72 hours prior to departing from the originating country/region.
