Pros. Location
Cons. I didnt like that, because i booked through a third party, in my opinion, i got put a room in the worst section of the hotel rifht by the ice machine. Bad form for them to judge based on how you book, we all pay with the same money and everyone likes to save a few dollars
Pros. Location Clean
Cons. Dated decor and bathrooms
Pros. Right downtown.
Cons. The decor was depressing and the room was poorly laid out.
Pros. Beautiful historic hotel in downtown Traverse City. Walked to shops and restaurants. Clean room and reasonable price.
Cons. Hotel restaurant service could have been better.
Pros. Pool area is really cool and has good hours. Staff is helpful. Beds are fantastic. Not many kids running around. The beacon bar on top floor of the hotel is great and offers one of the best elevated views of the city.
Cons. There isn't much to "not like". The nightly rate is a little steep and I think that the restaurants prices are a bit high.
Cons. I was double charged by kayak and the hotel. Kayak was not helpful in getting this fixed. The hotel is finally refunding the 2nd charge after 4 calls to different staff members
Pros. Close proximity to downtown.
Cons. The shower was very poor, bed was hard and no blankets.
Pros. The location is perfect. The lobby is very nice. The room had an extra sink area which was a welcome surprise and quite nice. Newer TV
Cons. The beds were too soft. The bathroom was a bit small and the tub/shower could only be used as a shower. For the main bathroom sink you couldn't get the water even cool - odd
Pros. We have stayed in 8 different hotels within the Traverse City area, including other large towers. However, this hotel had by far the best: -staff -views -location to downtown -onsite amenities -onsite bars and restaurant (food was amazing) -overall cleanliness -vintage feel I can only hope writing this will help people choose this establishment.
Cons. Was a higher cost than other local hotels, but was easily worth it to us.
